EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

I say I trust You, but here I am with my feet firmly rooted in shallow waters, tame enough to kiss the worries lapping at my heels away to darker depths. Yet there’s a calling on the sea, a voice through the swell saying, “Come forth, My child, come here to Me. I will not let you drown; My strength is sure for you.” But I cannot see above the waves that arise and swallow my view; my heart tells me it’s safe here but my spirit’s reaching out for You. You whisper “just trust Me” so I can tread into the deep, where You are waiting with unseen treasures in Your keep. You promise there are better things in store, but how can I immerse in glory when I cannot bear to leave the shore?

Distance has nothing to do with friendship…Distance is meaningless. No one’s that far away unless they choose to be.
