now, what exactly comprises of "green" perfumes? well notes like cucumber, tea, fig, cannabis, galbanum, vetiver, mint and rhubarb make up a big chunk of this category. and despite their lack of popularity, they're no less beautiful and complex.
one of the most well known green perfumes. green tea was a staple in the 90s for its light, refreshing scent. it's still loved by many and it's easy to see why as the nose behind it is francis kurkdjian, the nose behind baccarat rouge.
chanel cristalle is an icy cold green. there's a sort of refined melancholy to it. its very herbaceous with it's fresh-cut green scent that has a sort of sparkle to it due to it's citrus opening before it mellows into an earthy skin scent.
the scent that took the world by storm, philosykos is the perfume that has truly introduced the world to what a "green" perfume can be. it's an almost creamy green thanks to it's coconut scent bringing out the smoother, milkier qualities of the fig. it's natural without smelling overtly like grass and leaves.
silences is a more unisex scent with a rich, almost wet earthiness. it's almost dank which can be a positive or a negative depending on your tastes. as it wears it becomes warmer.
you or somone like you is a minty, semi sweet perfume. it reminds many of a mojito or a mint julep. to me it's like drinking cold water after chewing mint gum--super refreshing.
herbae is a very bitter green. it smells a lot like cut grass and can be quite bitter to some. there's a slight fruity undertone to help temper the bite but it's a very vegetal scent,
chronic is an odd one, as it's more minty than cannabis. it's reminiscent of chewing gum after smoking a joint. but there's still a freshness to it. it's almost a medicinal cannabis over a recreational one. super green. super unisex. signature worthy.
a scent is light, summery green. very bright due to it's citrus notes and very simple. grea for low scent days but sadly being discontinued so it's prices are amazing right now.
kenzo d'ete is a pretty green floral. it's the most inoffensive green here besides green tea and it's over all very fresh, slightly dewy and perfect for everyday wear
