This is fantastic because aesthetically you are Correct, but every Afghan hound I’ve met IRL has been a Very Careful Doofus because they’re one of the few large dogs aware that they ARE large and capable of accidentally harming humans if they step on them wrong, but this cereberal awareness leaves you with a sense of unease that you can’t identify until a Rabbit or Squirrel appears and you realize this is an animal designed by the rutlessness of nature and the hubris of man to be one of earth’s fastest and most relentless predators that runs on Pure, Ecstatic Bloodlust, the oh-so-carefully coiffed fur whipping around and blurring its shape until it looks like a sylph, an incarnation of the wind itself, and that mental concentration becomes a terminator-like focus until it’s prey is cornered or just run to the point of exhaustion and it lays prone, panting on the ground and profoundly aware of it’s mortality and the hound stops, body unnaturally frozen over it’s quarry and it turns to look back at you, jovial and inviting, for you to come and fulfill the contract of millenia, to kill the creature it has so lovingly run down for you.
