The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.

To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.

On the 17th, dead silence.

People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.

But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.

What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is ‘oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’

A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.

If you want to join in, here’s what to do:

Do:

Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th

Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad

Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion

Come back on the 18th and check in

Don’t:

Delete the app from your phone (this doesn’t affect their revenue and since it’s off the store at the moment it’ll be hard to get back)

Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and don’t use it you’re saying to staff that there’s still time to save it. If you delete it’s hard work to come back.

Open the app or website (including specific blogs)

Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)

Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.

Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.

- Matt switches to the pirate jargon when mad or speaking with a fellow pirate.

- Lance suffers from PTSD thanks to the war events

- Natalie has a serious fear of tentacles and vines thanks to a certain Beholder encounter.

- Any weapon at Matt’s disposal is called a sword. Is it a lance? Sword. A hammer? Sword. Nunchucks? Still a sword.

- Matt LOVES his swords. He takes them everywhere. He’d shower with them if they didn’t rust.

- He also talks to his swords. The one time Soul Eater talked back gave him nightmares.

- Lance gets angry about mistakes in toy tanks and planes.

- “Shut up Anna, you’re like 12”

- Everyone just assumes Matt is the leader, but no one really knows why.

- Natalie drops hints. Anna cringes, Matt is as oblivious as ever and Lance is internally screaming. (I think this is canon pffft)

- Nobody except Matt knows what do the runes on Heaven’s Gate mean.

- The sword’s gems glow when Matt gets excited.

- Soul Eater watches people with its eye.

- Lance suffers from nightmares like a right edgelord. Since Anna isn’t a heavy sleeper, his thrashing wakes her up sometimes.

- She usually stays awake for a bit to watch over him. Aw.

- They have late night talks sometimes. The only time they aren’t in a constant flame war.

- Lance, Anna and NoLegs are all able to move very silently.

- Natz and Anna have a minor healer rivalry.

- Lance didn’t wear the eyepatch just for style, one of his eyes is damaged. He still remains precise as hell, somehow. Probably thanks to all the gadgets.

- They all love to sing at a campfire. Except Lance, who conveniently dissapears.

- In fact, Lance conviently dissapears a lot.

- Lance has had a sonic phase, a weeaboo phase, and an emo phase. He’s ashamed of all of them.

- NoLegs likes to walk over the team members when they’re resting. Especially Lance. The cat loves to lie on his face because it knows well he hates it.

- NoLegs brings dead mice to Natalie. Screaming ensues.

- NoLegs is a blue british shorthair.

- Anna and Natz have a bit of a problem with sharing armor thanks to size differences… In… Certain… Areas.

- Every time someone dies, Natalie has a fear that it may be forever.

- Matt doesn’t wear just beads in his hair. It depends on the area, but he’s sometimes seen with claws, small bones, feathers and seashells braided in. (Or leaves and flowers, thanks to Anna.)

Also, I just wanted to thank @kupogames and @phyrnnaofficial for making such an interesting series and continuing. A good bit of my ‘childhood’ was lost fighting Lance and the Pyrohydra, and I have also had the time of my life playing the newer games, with their goofy characters and a few serious points, and all the hilarity.
