Jujutsu Kaisen and Zodiacs
So I made a post about this on my twitter but I decided I’m also gonna post it here.
THERE WILL BE MANGA SPOILERS, but not anything too crazy.
I decided to look into Jujutsu Kaisen Zodiacs and I made a few discoveries. Megumi was born December 22nd, making him a Capricorn and Itadori was born March 20th, making him a Pisces. I wanted to see both Zodiacs compatibility, and what do you know, Pisces have one of highest compatibilities with capricorns. Something I also noticed is that Megumi was born on the date exactly when the Capricorn zodiac dates start and Itadori was born on the date Pisces zodiac dates end.
Nobara on the other hand was born on August 7th, making her a Leo, and does not have the highest compatibility with Capricorn, nor Pisces so this must be something between Megumi and Itadori only when it comes to the trio. However I found out Maki Zenin was born on December 5th which makes her a Sagittarius. Sagittarius have high compatibility with Leos.
Yuuta was born March 7th making both him and Itadori Pisces , interesting...I also noticed Gojo (born December 7th) is also a Sagittarius, just like Maki, and Sagittarius have the lowest compatibility with Pisces. Since there’s a whole Yuuta vs Itadori thing about to start, I having feeling Maki may not take neither side. I know Megumi respects Yuuta (which makes sense because Yuuta is also a Pisces) and I feel like he’ll have a hard time choosing [even though I think he’ll choose Itadori in the end]. I’m not sure if they’ll be any Gojo conflict in the future with Yuuta/Itadori because of their low compatibility, but he’s in a box right now so who knows.
Toge, born March 27th is an Aries. Aries have high compatibility with Sagittarius and Leos (Maki and Nobara) but they have low compatibility with Capricorns (Megumi). Toge is lowkey kinda the cause for the entire Yuuta vs Itadori thing, so maybe Megumi may have a problem with him in the future.
The reason why I feel like these characters having these certain zodiacs were done on purpose is because the Zodiac personalities fit them very well.
“Capricorns are generally pragmatic, ambitious, and disciplined, although they can also be somewhat stoic and pessimistic”. This fits Megumi perfectly.
“Leos tend to be warm, passionate, and dynamic. They delight in opportunities to let their charismatic, inclusive personality shine. And like the lion that represents them, Leos are also strong, brave, and ready to dominate everything they set out to do”. Yep! That’s Nobara all right.
“Sagittarius are optimistic, lovers of freedom, hilarious, fair-minded, honest and intellectual. They are spontaneous and fun, usually with a lot of friends, and are perhaps the best conversationalists in the zodiac”. I feel Maki and Gojo fill in different aspects of this zodiac.
“Aries are a passionate, motivated, and confident leader who builds community with their cheerful disposition and relentless determination. Uncomplicated and direct in their approach, they often get frustrated by exhaustive details and unnecessary nuances”. Now Toge is an interesting character because according to Gege, hes not even fully fleshed out yet so we’re not 100% sure if this exactly fits him but that description does somewhat reminds me of Toge.
“Pisces personalities are known for being one of the most empathetic of the zodiac signs, and they'll do whatever they can to make sure the people around them are happy”. I think we can all agree this is Yuuta and Itadori.
Here’s a summary of everything because I know this was confusing.
Megumi is the only one both Yuuta and Itadori have high compatibility with.
Nobara, Maki and Toge have high compatibilities with one another.
Maki and Gojo have low compatibility with Itadori and Yuuta.
Megumi has low compatibility with Toge.
Gojo and Maki have the same Zodiacs.
Yuuta and Itadori have the same zodiacs
