You are totally allowed to be like "personal blogs DNI!!!" but like I'm here for the love of a niche character and if personals send me something cute and silly or whatever it just delights me. Besides if someone sends something weird I can always delete it.
Solomon, please come back. I miss you, baby girl.
New challenge for the mun: Let Solomon have fun.
To try and make it less nightmarish for myself if I ever want to come back I've drastically cut down my following list from like 250~ ishhhh odd blogs to 30 something. I just had to be kinda frank to myself like Okay, who has been here for a year or more and has genuinely never really talked to me, kinda pried at me but never made a commitment, so on. There's a lot of people with muses or writing I kinda liked but I realized I didn't really want to write with them one way or another, and that would stress me out too to have them on my dash.
I also made big cuts to the muse roster. I tried to cut out anyone that I A.) Felt like I took up more for someone else than myself and B.) Sparks interest in me to keep writing with them in general, like characters I just REALLY still feel that urge to explore and feel like I just have so much more to do with yet. But I also tried not to go with characters that I'd rather just write fic for on my own.
I think the hardest thing about keeping muses honestly is that distinction--like who do I think I just have good solo writing ideas for and who would be more conducive to the collaborative free-form nature of rp. For me that tends to be characters that may not even be new and popular, but that just stick to the walls of my brain regardless of what's happening rn in pop culture. I am going way more private now to the people I either really love seeing the writing of and people I love writing with. I like keeping muses that are good for me first and would be great interactions for my friends second. I have been flipping that priority to a detriment for a couple years and letting it make me feel bad. The hardest part is listening to myself and I admit I'm going to only inch my way back once I know I can take care of my own feelings.

"Oh why is he posting here again" doooooooon't worry about it
Iâm loosing it
@earthentrusted said: Solomon typically followed leads of any promise, prioritizing those of "immediate threat." Not every threat realized itself as something extraterrestrial, but leave it to anyone else to neglect a problem creature for the sake of jurisdiction. Tonight a "commotion" forwarded his way sent him to a rural community--but as Solomon cornered the culprit in an out building, he lowered his weapon. The menacing images of a looming creature and minor destruction sent his way told a different story than what he saw in front of him. "It was an accident, wasn't it?" (For Meech from @/earthentrusted !)
unprompted: always accepting!
Meech got too close. His curiosity drew him closer & closer in a little human community -- pretty lights ... so colorful, twinkling. Music was playing, he heard lots of voices that sounded so happy. He wanted to see it.
In the process, he knocked over some of those large bins humans stored stuff in that they didn't want anymore. Trash ... cans? Yes, trash cans. He caused a commotion, got the attention of some of the partying humans, & they screamed. Started shouting that there was a 'monster' -- more humans came to look, more screamed, some threw things at him.
Panicked, he fled, causing some minor property damage on his way. He took shelter in what seemed to be an unoccupied, smaller building than the other homes, waiting for the commotion to calm down. But then someone found him.
Meech pushed himself further into a corner of the building, hunkered down in a crouched position, looking like a large ball of black fluff, with two glowing red dots. He was prepared for the worst. To be hurt. But the human ... asked him a question.
"It was an accident, wasn't it?"
Slowly, red eyes blinked & looked up at the man from his crouched position. Watching him. Waiting a moment, as if this were a trick, before he gave his head a tiny nod. "Accident ... accident ..." He was shaking a bit, large hands raising to rest atop his head, pressing his antennae down. "Humans throw things-- hurt head."
A difficult reality of his job that reinforced its importance: the public couldn't be trusted to handle the unexplained without damage to the "monstrous" party as much as the people. He softened his posture, his steps tentative as he approached Meech.
"Sorry that they hurt you. It wasn't your fault." Solomon crouched onto one knee, inspecting Meech from behind his thick, red goggles.
"Do you have any other injuries? I can help you." He recalled himself and let his head bow. "If...you're willing. You can trust me."
+ Do you think of yourself as Milk's new dad?
Anonymously send me â+â and a question and my muse has to answer honestly no matter how uncomfortable it makes them
"I do. I've never raised a child, but I've been a mentor to others before--not aliens...but. I'm hopeful that I'll be cut out for the job."
+ If you could be immortal, would you?
Anonymously send me â+â and a question and my muse has to answer honestly no matter how uncomfortable it makes them
"No. I want to age. It's the reward for a life well-lived."

âYouâll find our technology is more advanced than what is strictly available on Earth.âÂ
Solomon looked up at him. His red goggles reflected the gleaming glass of Scrappertonâs head, revealing too the blue of his eye as he leaned close to Solomon. His own expression did not show through.
âDonât patronize me.â
He turned.Â
âDuck on the ship if you have to.â
âPatronize? Oh, not this time,â he laughed, âNo. You humans truly are short. There are plenty of others out there that tower over you. I made myself eight feet! I hardly remember when I used to be as short as you.â
âWhy, the Skeleton King- heâs twelve feet, sometimes more!â
His body jerked, as if it were glitching, a few sparks coming out before settling, âLets not talk about him.â
He followed, ducking to make sure he didnât hit his head.
Something sank in his chest. Skeleton King--he made note of that name. For another time. He knew not to ignore it's troubling implication, but he couldn't afford to lose his focus on the task at hand.
He watched Scrapperton enter the ship. "You can have a seat in the back." Agents accompanied him, coming to his side. "Don't worry about our personnel. We take every precaution we need to."
Sociable retrievals like this one didn't offer any sort of reassurance or lax in his guard. Not every monster snarled and bit--plenty preferred to smile. The blank visors and stern lips of the agents' masks offered little to reciprocate Scrapperton's friendly air.
Thank you Nix for making Solomon's heart sink with the unexpected frightening Implication
