𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒶𝒹𝓎

         things always got louder than what yongtaek would consider comfortable to experience when he went deeper into the crowded and busy city, but with parker’s presence he found that the noise was much more bearable than it would be if he was alone. squeezing the witch’s hands slightly and focusing on the feeling of their fingers laced together, he turned his head to look at him and smiled. “ mhm, it’s alright. ” yongtaek hummed, seeming to shuffle just a little bit closer. “ where should we go first, though? ”

     the remnants of magic drift through the air, brushing against skin and settling beneath bone to wrap ‘round the earth expanded in chest in comfortable presences. it was a successful practice session together, shorter than usual as repetition and soft encouragement has allowed the younger to easily utter the incantation they had spent the past few weeks memorizing and learning. pride still blooms in chest, even as parker called for a break to recharge, to not overdo it, even as he urges the other witch to face forward as he settles behind to gift her a flower.

     fingers still where the witch is absentmindedly braiding in flexible flower stems through strands of hair, a chagrined smile crawling ‘cross lips and little hum escaping in response. “i haven’t had a chance to pick up some more wire for crowns, and i didn’t want these flowers to go to waste.” fingers fall away after securing the white daisy amongst her braided hair, leaning ‘round to catch halley’s gaze and smile sheepishly. “i hope you don’t mind. i’m done, but i can undo them if you’d like ?”

         parker didn’t have to say much else for hwayoung to immediately become excited with the idea, bouncing off the stool she had been sitting on just seconds ago. “ yes, please! ” the loud and almost high pitched response only made her excitement clear, lips parting in a bright smile as she looked up to her father. it had been awhile since the last time she went there, toes aching to sink into the soft grass of her meadow, wanting to soak into the warmth and energy it always provided her.

          while yongtaek would love to have more alone time with parker without the interruption of their friends sometimes, he also loved their presence even if it could be a little too much; it was just the way they were, close like family. he wouldn’t trade them for anything in this world and he knew that parker wouldn’t either, even namgi. “ he really is hard to deal with sometimes, isn’t he? ” the psychic replied, letting out a laugh as eyes crinkled with amusement. “ can’t you cast a spell or something to shut him up too? ” he teased, moving a little closer to seek the other’s warmth and wrap arms around him loosely.

         a small huff left her mouth before she nodded her head a little and put the flowers down on the nearest table. she was more than happy to hear him out, find out what flowers would send a better message. not that she had ever looked into it before, but she was interested. she had certainly looked up what her birth flower meant one or two times before so why not let him help her with sending a better message. “they’re for my mother. she’s been going through a tough time lately and i just wanted to cheer her up. i’m okay with changing the colours.”

so rather than moving to a completely new blog & archiving this one, i’m moving parker over to my multi ! this is 100% b/c 3 blogs is overwhelming on a good day, and having just 2 to focus on would hopefully help me in the long run in maintaining muse for everyone. this is going to be a trial run, though, as i’m still very much attached to this blog, this url, and just single muse blog aesthetics in general, so i won’t be archiving this blog nor will i be deleting it or anything.

my queue has about 6 more posts left, which will last through til tomorrow. i’ll queue this up for tomorrow and for a couple of days after, probably til friday. i’ll be answering the last meme in parker’s box + queue up the 4 threads i haven’t gotten to over on the other blog, as opposed to here !

     perched against a tree, bark uncomfortably stiff beneath back, the thrum of the earth’s very presence settled deep within lungs, and yongtaek’s head a weight ‘pon thighs, parker doesn’t think there’s a place he’d rather be than here. it’s pleasantly warm, clouds adrift a blue sky and throwing dappled sunlight against skyward tipped head, casting shadows and magic ‘cross the younger’s own closed eyes. the quiet murmur of a playlist serves as background noise, a white static that is more melodies and voices than lyrics, than distinct instruments. everything is comfortable, warm, a perfect day despite the rolling clouds blown through by the wind, despite the threat of evening rain looming in the air.

               for once, her work requires concentration from her. where usually the witch casts spells with reckless abandon, judging power and potency by feeling alone, this requires a little more precision. not because it’s dangerous, simply because it’s something she isn’t good at. ever since her youth, she’s never been particularly gifted when it comes to charms, but perseverance has left her satisfactory. ❝ i love you too, ❞ she replies, glancing away from the locket clasped between her fingertips long enough to return parker’s smile. ❝ is everything okay, love? ❞

     it’s a rare afternoon filled with the presence of only one, rather than all ; it’s a reprieve from the energy and life that blankets the witch once friends barrel through the door and take residence upon couch and stools and chairs, a peaceful breath until everyone returns from their work, their studies, their life outside the small space they all congregate in. parker relishes in it, as headache has settled at temples in a persistent throb and the soothing comfort of the psychic chases away frustration and annoyances that would otherwise linger. it’s a good thing only tyler has stopped by, as the witch doesn’t think he has the patience to deal with namgi today.
