We should bring back forest green.
sometimes i feel ive got to
run away
playing a veil jumper mage for round three of veilguard
and we are off to a terrible start. rook's dialogue during the intro doesn't account for their background, so my visibly dalish, apparently elven artifact expert has a dismissive reaction to solas calling himself the dread wolf, and does not immediately recognise an eluvian.
this is gonna be a who's mythal ass playthrough, huh.
I've got a bit of a personal ruleset this time through to keep things interesting. I'm gonna do all the main story content immediately when available, up to one of the Points of No Return™, at which point I'll check the time, and go do all the side content available. and all that with minimal exploration, no bothering to get chests or collectables. if it's not in the journal, I ain't doing it.
wanna see how much of my time so far in this game has been spent faffing around in a vaguely completionist manner.
what the fuck is this control scheme man
hmmmm. I guess I'll still do the (optional) tasks, since they are in the journal
seems odd for the crows to get priority for a mage specialisation over the veil jumpers but okay
whaddya mean you didn't grow up dalish?! you grew 'up' enough to have vallaslin options in the character creator, so you're at least somewhat connected to a clan, surely!
I mean, I was wondering how they were gonna square the tattoos and gender being two exclusive options that you can only emphasise one for. getting to be either trans or dalish, not both would be a kick in the teeth.
but 'rook appropriated culturally important tattoos' was not the solution I was rooting for!
really fucking stupid that at this point you get a recollection of How Rook Met Varric three times in almost immediate succession. what the fuck did the playtesting for this game look like...
feels weird ignoring all these chests
but also... freeing, going this fast. I've busted lucanis out of jail and it's only been 3 hours.
guys I get the feeling this thing is the nadas dirthalen. from the ten billionth time bellara told us it's the nadas dirthalen.
I'm getting the hang of mage combat now so I think I can safely say rogue just fucking sucks. I accidentally picked the absolute worst option for my first playthrough.
it was such a cruel joke binding the rogue's abilities to jumping into the fray without getting hit, and then making it the hardest class to not get hit with
no shield. same amount of dodge as everyone else. ranged weapon sucks shit for some reason. fuck you.

I’ve had this same dilemma too many times
a broken link is a kind of dead wife
