torn between my automatic view of most gods appearing somewhere between late teens - 20s because that’s how most of the ones we’re introduced to are  vs.  the knowledge that ming yi probably ascended in his 30s or 40s at  minimum  because of the time it’d take to achieve everything he did before ascension

last post on the subject but oh my god.    can u imagine a situation where u need to eat to avoid starving.    might not be able to afford food tomorrow.    maybe couldn’t afford food yesterday.    but just  can’t eat  the food that’s in front of u despite all that  .......  every time i think im over how much hx got fucked over by everything that happened something else hits me and i start cryign

but actually it  is  really interesting that stuff like that carries across to the afterlife because ghosts definitely don’t need to eat  ,  i don’t even know if they would feel hungry ??    but for he xuan it’s probably survival instinct  ( might not have food again so gotta eat whatever’s there )  .    would also explain why we see him eating a lot even though hua cheng says after getting out of prison he’d either eat non-stop or not be able to eat anything at all  ,  he doesn’t  need  to eat now so it wouldn’t be as noticeable when he doesn’t  ??    compared to as a mortal when he’d need to eat but just couldn’t make himself do it

oh i actually do wanna make a post about ming yi’s home in ghost city  ,  how it is a kind of safe retreat for him even though ghost city as a whole is somewhere he ends up because there isn’t really anywhere else to be rather than a place he wants to go
