Lucy: okay, because if I have then I will bring chocolate. Lucy: it will even be from my secret stash.  Lucy: i don’t even offer Owen any of my chocolate. 

Logan raised a brow as she gave him a skeptical look, not quite believing his words. Then again, it wasn’t like she trusted anyone to begin with, especially if the person doesn’t even sound sure of their own words. “What’s wrong with silence?”

Noting the disbelief in her features he continued the explanation. “It was always my best topic, and I have always enjoyed learning about it and I just think the earth is really quite cool and a lot more complex than you would think it is. Most people just walk on it without even realising what’s underneath them and what’s happening there, you know? So it’s really quite cool to think about sometimes.” He offered a wide smile once he was finished speaking, finally taking a breath amongst it all. “It’s just... boring.” Not that Jean could ever stay silent for all that long. “What’s there to do when it’s silent?” 

Lucy: Are you sure? Lucy: You didn’t reply and I thought I had upset you. I’m sorry. Lucy: I mean I was just playing with the filters, not teasing you. I would never be mean to you.

Lucy saw noticed that her snapchat had been opened and frowned as she noticed that her reply had been ignored.

Lucy: Jean? Lucy: Jean? Is everything okay? Lucy: Are you mad at me? Did i do something to upset you? I was only teasing. I’m sorry.

“How do you even know this stuff?” Logan’s brows furrowed as she listened to him, still feeling confused. “I don’t mind the silence, I find it comforting at times.” She gave a shrug of her shoulders, it wasn’t something that she had the chance to relish in often. 

He paused for a moment, before: “I like geography.” Which wasn’t exactly incorrect, in a way, but was phrased rather uncertain. “Oh -- well, I guess it’s different for everyone then, maybe? But I’ve never been good with it.” He gave her an almost apologetic smile.

Logan just felt even more confused at his explanation, though that could have had more to do with the fact that she hadn’t even been paying attention. “So we don’t have whatever they’re called here?” She attempted to make an effort with the conversation. “You really like talking don’t you?”

“Well -- we do... we’re on a plate. But that’s why we don’t get many earthquakes. The plate moving doesn’t affect us too much.” The excitement in his voice grew as she showed greater interest. “People tell me I do.” He laughed. “But silence is boring, isn’t it?” 

“I have no idea what they even are.” Logan let out a frustrated sigh as she rubbed her forehead, though she couldn’t help but feel slightly guilty at seeing how her words had effected him. “Sorry, that was– rude of me.” She forced out, unable to look him in the eye.

“Oh, they’re what makes up the Earth’s lithosphere, and why we get earthquakes.” Jean explained with a small smile. “Well, not here... but in other places.” The blond shook his head at her comment. “No, it’s boring I guess. It’s okay.” He offered a smile. “What would you like to talk about?” 

Lucy: This is fun! Lucy: aww, well you don’t need filters anyway!   Lucy: you already look great without them :)  

Lucy: Jean the ears move!! Lucy: they twitch, look!  Lucy: i have to thank the filter, it’s doing all the work. idk, it was just on the options? 

Owen: You worry me sometimes.

Owen: pmsl 😂😂 I mean, it might ruin my nonexistent reputation but sure.

Owen: Does Wednesday night work for you?

Jean: I think Elodie has a club going for that 😂

Jean: don't put yourself down! you have a perfectly respectable reputation... for now. 😉

Owen: Pmsl... I totally would have if I was there - promise.

Owen: I mean, fair but that's not quite what I meant lmao😂

Owen: Idek ... Yes, I know the one you're on about now.

Owen: But yeah, sure man. When were you thinking?

Jean: I'll have to test that

Jean: well no. I could definitely sit through the movie for that reason... you just might have to hold me 😂😂

Owen: No problem bro 😘

Owen: Same man, even if it was a dog called Jean 😂

Owen: Which one? We spoke about three, I take it you're not talking about the horror? I couldn't imagine you being able to sit through it.

Jean: Yeah, well, I was just on your doorstep and no one came out to adopt me. 😔

Jean: What film can you imagine me sitting through? 😂

Owen: Most people?

Owen: Okay, so maybe this was a bad example because I think all dogs are so damn cute

Jean: If you say so

Jean: Aw, thanks 😘😂

Jean: But for sure, i would accept any dog that was on my doorstep.

Jean: remember a few weeks ago when we were talking about that new film coming out? we should go see that.
