I recently learned how to make a tassel flower for this tassel bow and i enjoyed it a lot! I really love traditional hand embroidery technics. I love how they create wonderful and endless texture possibilities. It’s fascinated to see how threads form something different in every technic with the help of the needle. So close to being finished! It’s almost 2am and I wish I could finish it tonight, but my fingers are tired and my eyes won’t stay open any longer lol

Diane Meyer is interested in the failures of photography, preserving experience and personal history. Each of these works is related to ideas of memory, nostalgia and trying to make sense of time and place. The special feature of her work is that her photographs have been obscured by cross-stich embroidery sewn directly on the photograph, forming a pixelated version of the underlying image.
