lavendercurrents said: i like this even tho the last part is painful
Earl is stabbed about 43 times and is left to bleed out in an alleyway, cold and alone in his final hour. Â Also he was set on fire for some reason.
ravenshadows08Â said:Â i would hate to see earl die. i know it would hurt my muse dearly, but this is your choice not mine. i did have fun rping with earl. i wish i had done so more. i just felt like i was being annoying.
You were not annoying! Â It was fun developing our characters together! Â We'll have to see if he comes back. Â I think a break would help.
Now on HIATUS
Well it seems like even after a two week break, this muse isn't coming back easily. Â I apologize to everyone who had a thread with me. Â It must be horribly annoying to for me to drop everything suddenly and I truly hate to do that to you.
I'm not going to give up on this character. Â I still love him dearly and he'll always be a favorite. Â At the very least I'll need more of a break. Â I'll still be on tumblr with a different RP blog, just not as involved.
On a side note, I've always planned on having him die young and I've been thinking of the most proper way to kill him off lately. Â I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Â

"My dear, weâve been playing every since you said hello. Â Everyone plays it, whether they realize it or not. Â Everyone has different goals as well so it can get quite complicated if you donât know what to look for." Â Let alone that what you see could be completely wrong. Â Ah, thereâs the market. Â It looked a lot nicer the the ones he frequented. Â
"Unstoppable?  My dear, Iâm but a humble writer.  Youâve already got me carrying your bags and interested in what you have to say.  Is there more you need?â  Still, he had a smirk that seemed to accept her challenge.  Speaking of challenge, he was just going to grab a cart to make it easier on himself.
"By all means, lead the way."
"So you and I have similar hobbies," she commented airily. "Thatâs nice. Iâve always been able to appreciate a kindred spirit." It warmed Cecile, to hear him philosophize a bit. What was Earlâs writing like if this is the way he spoke?
She turned again to the produce, brow folded. âActually, there is something else I will need from you.â
"Hobby and part of the job. Â I would like to write realistic characters and scenarios and it's much easier to do so when you interact with others." Â Shifting the basket to his other hand, he glanced over at Cecile. Â "It's actually nice to know I'm not the only one who does this. Â I can't tell you how many times people have given me strange looks because of it."
That got him raising an eyebrow. Â "Another favor? Â What will it be this time, my dear?"
earlgreywithcomplaints replied to your post âWait that last one was suppose to be anon.â
((That was kiiiinda ooc. If you wanted IC, replace âbuttâ with âarseâ))
>[ but why am i a butt :C
I was trying to be cool and all insult anony. Â That's how you win at life.
[Earl will have to pardon him on this; that may be an old wound, but that wound could still smart quite easily. Thereâs a quiet thanks when Earl refills the glasses, and upon noting how low the bottle has becomeâit seems thereâs only a sip left in itâhe gets up with a bit of a stumble to fetch a second bottle.]
âŚyou wouldnâ be the first, probably not the last. Just behave yourself, wonâ you? Iâm also far stronger than you; I could still just take the thing.
You just want to see me shirtless, Iâm sure. Wouldnâ be the first with that, either. [but thereâs finally the ghost of a smile on his lips; heâs a vain peacock.] I didnâ say my habits was it, itâs the principle of the thing. A conquering army couldnât keep my lands under its thumb, but a single human able to strong arm me into doing as they thought best; that would be a feat to be proud of, if only you were able to manage it. Youâd have better luck moving the Rockies, I do declare.
Perhaps youâve a point. [but the teasing tone seems to belie that point; he has grown at least a little fond of the other over the past couple years] Hmm, no, now I just entertain myself via other methods.
-There's no reason to pardon him. Â It's only natural to still feel such a loss. Â Leaning on ha hand, he watches Aaron stumble about, wondering if he could even do the same at this point. Â He didn't want to test his balance at the moment- Â Careful now...
-Aaron manages to get a real pout from Earl with a bit of a glare throw in- And you wouldn't be the for nor the last who'll do that to me. Â The world belongs to the strong.
-Earl noticeably raises and lowers his eyebrows with a smirk before taking another drink-  It would be a benefit to the public.  It's a shame to hide that away.  -Nothing wrong with a little eye candy for anyone-  I can't strong arm anyone, you know that.  What I'm doing it merely providing another option for you that has certain benefits you haven't considered before.  It's still your choice whether to rest or not, I can't do anything about that.  And if you give me enough time, perhaps an eternity I'll never have, I can move any mountain.  The winds and seas have been doing that for billions of years.
I'm always on point. Â -Earl at least knows that much. Â Aaron has made it clear several times and it's a bit of a small comfort- Â I'm almost afraid to ask what other methods. Â Your "rational" mind is a truly a wonder to behold sometimes. Â -The teasing tone takes away any bite that statement might have-
Look at your face!
46. (Possibly NSFW!)Â Asking them to spend the night
"Is this for some sort of revenge fuck?"
"Oh, lovely. Â It always makes things better when thereâs grudges involved. Story wise at least."
Earl took a sip from his own steaming cup he just made himself, leaning against the wall.
"I canât afford to officially travel but I tend to find myself in many different places anyway.  Friends like to take me along sometimes as well.  Hmm⌠one can really find inspiration anywhere but it does help to have different perspectives on things." "What sort of buisness do you deal with?"
"There we go. Inspiration for all your writing needs."Â
Taking a small sip, he had to admit, this guy did make some good tea. The liquid slightly burned his throat a warm feeling spreading.Â
"I can see that. Wonder if youâre working on a book or something right now. Plenty to see. Even with immortality."
"World affairs. Economies and the relations with my country to others. Though I may not be the hottest spot on the map, thereâs still matters to be dealt with."
{ â }
"Inspiration for many things really. Â However, sometimes I like to pick and choose instead of having it thrust upon me."
With a hum, Earl lowered his cup. Â "You can say that. Â And yes, immortality is still not enough time and perhaps it's worse off then mortality itself. Â But that's just my thoughts."
"I see. Â I'm sure your people truly appreciate your efforts. Â After all, it matters very much to them."
Story Book AU
Earl could easily rant about how hipsters and college kids had taken the âwriter in the cafeâ image without producing any work to show for it. Â It would be a minor annoyance if people didnât bother him, whether it was to make fun of him or act condescending. Â Still, he wasnât here to rant. Â Merely write and have Janie enjoy herself in a public area again. Â He gave a small wave as she picked herself up and went back to this newer story.
He lost track of the minutes that passed as his mind shifted into writing mode. Â He didnât even pick up his head when Janie sat down again, shifting the table underneath his hands. Â âHm?â Â He ripped his eyes away from the glowing screen to look at her. Â It took him a moment to recall what she just said and process it. Â He arched an eyebrow at her but quickly realized she seemed nervous.
With practiced movements used to eavesdrop on people, he turned his head very slightly to the right, shifting his eyes over to scan the cafe. Â Nothing really caught his eye, nothing out of place. Â There were some people he didnât recognize, but that was understandable for a big city.
"What should I be looking for?" Â Keeping his head in itâs general direction, he leaned on his fist and shifted his eyes back to her. Â It all seemed natural but made it easier for him to go back and scan the room again. Â "Is there something wrong?"
She furrowed her brows a second, and a small shrug turned into a shiver. "I⌠Cal? I hate to feel like Iâm being too paranoid, but he gives me a bad vibe." She wasnât shy to nod her chin in his general direction, commenting. âBlack hair? Tâfucking scar?â She breathed slowly, clenching her drink a bit. The woman leans forward on her elbows now, avoiding his gaze. âSee him?â
"Cal again?" Â Now Earl hadn't really seen this Cal, only trusting Janie's statements at this time. Â He didn't see any redheads nor any other telling signs he remembered giving that character. Â "Is that so? Â Do you wish to leave?" Though they had just gotten there, if Janie wasn't feeling comfortable...
Black hair? Â "Is he just a normal creep?" Â Earl's eyes shifted over to the man and looked him over before glancing back to his screen. Â "You think that's Cal? Â Is that the same one that ran into us?"

-Perusing through the seasonal Halloween store. Â Playing with plastic skulls-
"Oh is that you Earl?" Nadia was perusing the aisles just a bit further down from him.
Earl glances over before giving her a small nod in greeting. Â âHello there. Â Shopping early?â
"Yeah! Iâm just looking for cute little things, nothing big. And you?" Nadia smiled and walked over to her acquaintance.
"I'm thinking, that's all. Â What do you mean for cute things. Â Your costume?" Â Earl glanced at the section she was in for a clue.

Ah⌠Your strive for independence.  -Earl accepts that answer easily.  He know at least that much of US history-
-Very wise of Aaron. Â Earl still is dealing with this in his own way and insults might or might not work-
You have to earn my respect. Â You donât automatically get a free pass just because youâre a nation. Â -Not that he already hasnât but thatâs another thing- Â Oh Iâm sure youâll certainly try. Â Doesnât mean I wonât go down without a fight. Â Perhaps I should pick up something to even the playing field.
Keep your shirt on then. Â It would be quite a shame for all of us but take yourself into consideration first. Â -Thereâs an answer for everything as far as Earl is concerned- Â Point of pride? Â If there was one place to put my pride, what you do with your free time is not what I would choose. -He taps the top of his glass while he things for a moment- Â Perhaps because youâre not as concerned.
In that good way, right?  -Earl pouts at him, putting a hand to his nose as if he thought Aaron would reach across the table and pinch it again-  Running with scissors, running with pens down your throat⌠ Both are stupid ideas.
Thatâs correct. [but it seems the fact that he lost is still a sore point with him, considering how he suddenly downs the rest of the whiskey in his glass. at least it keeps him quiet instead of making some comment.]
Careful; I could just stop givinâ you free food. [That worked pretty well when trying to get the other to sleep, letâs see if itâll work again] Hmm? You could try, I âpose, but whoâs to say I wonâ just take it?
Iâm sure yaâll wouldnâ be missinâ too much, unless you have a particular liking for scars and tattoos. [he shakes his head though, waving a hand dismissively] Not that, I meant point of pride because youâre trying to get me to do a thing. [like how heâs still refusing out of spite] You want the pride of successfully makinâ me do something. Besides, why would I be concerned?
Of course; thatâs why youâre still here. [though the way Earl feels the need to protect his nose does tempt Aaron to try again; heâll wait until the other isnât expecting it] I ainât exactly been accused of beinâ smart.
-Earl watched for a moment but kept quiet, just like Aaron did for him. Â He quickly grabs the whiskey and refills both their drinks. Â At this point the bottle must have been getting low-
You do that and I'll be left to either beg on the streets or starve from malnutrition. Â My death will be on your hands. Â How would you like that? Â -That's actually a really childish response- Â No need. Â I'll give it to you. Â Just hope have good reflexes.
Scars and tattoos tell a story. Â I like stories. Â I'll let you put the rest of the pieces together. Â -Not to mention Aaron probably looks good shirtless but that's another point entirely- Â Just like you're trying to get me to do another thing. Â Like going to bed. Â Oh no... Â Seems like we both have issues with the original deadly sin. Â -He laughs- Â I told you before, your habits is not where I put my pride. Â My sin is a bit better placed that that. Â Hmm... Â To be honest I don't know. Â I don't know you.
The only reason I'm still here. Â -There's a joking tone to that one. Â He does lower his hand to play with his glass some more- Â Well then I'll accuse you of being daft then. Â Hope you still don't do that sort of thing. Â Almost wouldn't surprise me though. Â You seem stubborn enough to keep doing it.
Not always people am very familiar with. Just most of the time. *He takes a long drag and puffs it out of that big nose of his, almost like a cartoonish bull.*
Hm? Offense? No. You just donât know a real high. Could be hitting much better things than âlifeâ. Is the point of a highâ to avoid life. *He gives a bit of a smirk, though it isnât his usual devious one.*
⌠Got most of that, that time, actually. Cheap talker though⌠the fuck is that?
People you recognize then might be better then. Â -Earl hums softly, thinking things through- Â That might be better.
A ârealâ high? Â Iâve done those before and honestly they donât work for me. Â Alcohol is better. Â And really, it was a small joke, mate. Â Iâm sure youâve seen those healthy types who arenât fucked up in some way. Â They keep talking âbout that sort of thing. Â -Earl arches an eyebrow at that smirk, suspicious-
You make a lot of noise but you donât put your money where your mouth is⌠at least when thereâs consequences you donât wish to deal with.  If it makes you feel better, which Iâm sure you donât care, most everyone is.  Itâs a rare man or woman that does what they say, fuck it all.
I prefer the strangers more. Is less annoying. *Not quite the right word, but itâs something he uses to keep him from prying too much.*
Yeah. A real high. *He twists the cigarette between his lips, then takes it between his fingers to flick off the ashes.* Booze is good too. *Helps that itâs legal. While heâs not as observant as Dimah, he does notice the quirked brow.* What?
⌠What like you talk shit but you are pussy? Whatever you want to think. Is very little I say that I will not do. The fun part is watching people wonder what is me âcheap talkingâ and what is me being real. Keeps them on their toes.
That I can agree with. Â People you know just makes things confusing and somewhat breaks... their character, so to speak. Â -Not like that would stop him from searching for more cracks in the conversation-
Heh. Â You can have that, if you wish. Â I just need to visit oblivion once in a while. Â -Earl keeps Ganya's gaze for a moment. observing, before looking away and getting his own pack of cigarettes out. Â Damn him, Earl needs a fag now- Â It's nothing.
Of course I do. Â You think I could do anything else legally? Â You could snap me in half and there would be nothing I could do but try to talk you out of it or call for help. Â Though I don't lie so it's technically not "shit." Â It's easier to manipulate the truth. Â -With a quick flash of his lighter, he takes a deep drag from his cigarette and breaths out almost in relief-
You're quite good at it, I admit. Â Not as hard as when you're in your softer form, though.

"Everything and anything if we want to get into the finer details. Â In theory, more than me." Â With a small hum, he shrugged. Â "Mind games. Â Thought games. Â Sometimes childish, sometimes philosophical. Â I donât need to carry a pack of cards with me at least."
They rounded the corner, Cecile leading the way, and the market came into their sights. âI want to play,â she said, plucking a bag from his shoulder. âTell me how well I do multitasking this. If I can plan my dinner and manage to outwit youâŚwell, Iâll be quite unstoppable, I think.â
She grinned and drifted towards the produce stands with a resolution in her poise. âWhenever youâre ready, Earl.â
"My dear, we've been playing every since you said hello. Â Everyone plays it, whether they realize it or not.
