I was doing some gesture drawing in the online apw portfolio class I’m taking and they had us do a design exercise at the end of class based on an unusual shape. I had no idea where I wanted to take this so I made this which I have no idea what I was going for, it was so early and I was tired. When I looked at it later, I was baffled and it felt incomplete and that happens sometimes, and it’s ok.

Had some time to play around with different materials. I’m going to crush it up and use it to set a ground on a piece and see what it looks like. I think it’d be silly to waste.

I had done a picture which is the last one in this set, I had posted it awhile back,I flipped it over noticing that the marker had run through so I made something with the back side of that older picture, none of it is colored I just took the shapes I saw from the ink that made it through the paper.

I know I posted this to ig but I like showing the multiple angles of the drawing because I draw things to be looked at at every turn of the drawing. And the post on here only showed one pic, people could turn their screens but If I reflect on this pic from tumblr I wanted to see all of them.

If you don’t take the time to look you’ll miss it ... and that’s ok. I wasn’t feeling well so I finished this drawing till I felt too tired to be stressed about not feeling well.

I was pretty burned out on doing so many serious studies so I decided to do a 4 shot storyboard. Nothing really happens but it was really about the exercise since I’m working on my story boarding skills. It took me a few hours because I was also watching some of the new Disney animated shows such as owl house, big city greens and amphibia. They are really good so far.

Practice, practice practice.

Life drawing.

I think at this point it’s reaching the over-cooked moment in some parts and I’m getting fussy with it... I’ll stop. By the way the windows mouse from the sculpt set is a very good mouse. Shout out to windows for making a good product.

I had this picture that wasn’t going good, so I made sure it went really not good, then I remembered that art is fun and doesn’t have to be some super serious experience. I am tired of doing intense studies, so I introduced a little rambunctiousness onto a page.

I had some time to think, but sometimes I don’t like to think in my head, sometimes I like to think on paper.

Lots of doodling at work. I’m tired but there wasn’t much to do today, and I felt compelled to make the effort to feel satisfied and declare I am “done” with this doodle.

Some hardcore doodling, I stayed with straight lines on this one, was tempted to do curves but wanted to stick to one type of mark making.

This is evidence that some thinking was done and this visual is what’s left behind.
