i get so miserable off that scenario i made up in my head

teaching yourself to not give up when things get hard is like super important and really worth it. the unfortunate side of it is when things get hard and you wanna give up you're self aware about it so you just say "nevertheless we persevere" but with bags under your eyes and slumped shoulders until you find joy again. like yeah i guess i'm just gonna tie my shoe laces a little tighter so the mud doesn't seep in cause i'm about to go slogging through it willingly. like if it wasn't serving me i would give up because i don't have the time or energy for that but unfortunately it is, so we must endure until it feels good again, i guess.
