Life is a test, no matter how you look at it.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ

ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّن بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً Then, after that, your hearts were hardened and became as stones or even worse in hardness.

One of my favorite uncles from our community called to check up on me today, and we were talking about how even someone who has done so much wrong can teach you a lesson–how not to act. Even someone who has hurt you or wronged you can set an example for you of what not to be like–of how you should actually treat people. And how we can only pray that Allah guide us to what is truly the right path. He reminded me of this beautiful dua, so I thought I’d share it:
