Like a sea, life has a path too

کله په غره کښې کله میدان کښې

Seeing you was like a dream, oh beloved

په دې خوب پسې لا هغسې اوده يم

from the white sands of river, a palace I made,

all worldly eyes saw me and gazed.

a carpet I spread, so fragrant and red,

walls built high with music and tales,

I painted the walls with the colors of my age,

brought flowers all along and a gardener on top

I brought narcissus in my lap, and jasmine as a guest,

I made a necklace from its dew,

when morning breeze blew,

It blessed me with more beautiful views.

a glass of wine carries tears of the gardener

a moonlit night and songs of venus,

partridges laugh, as the stars seems shy,

slowly slowly God ignites the fire

alone with sorrows I stand close by,

a beloved beside me with tears in her eyes,

adorned with dew droplets, her necklace shines

innocent, loved and beautiful, a flower stands nearby.

Since I’m made merely of dust, nothing but dust,

ولې تا رکړو سازونه او ګلونه او جمال؟
