So, I’d like to try to be more proactive about releasing large mods-in-progress incrementally for those who are interested in them, rather than potentially just letting them languish on my hard drive for months to years, and @dalishious‘s Low Elf Esteem series has got me thinking again about all the tweaks I’d like to make to Sera’s disastrous dialogue.

So rather than just, uh, thinking about them, I’ve uploaded the few changes I’ve made already here and will be periodically updating y’all whenever I make any progress on it.

The long of it is in the blog post, but the short of it is that I cut the infamous transphobic comment from WEWH, hid the infamous everpresent option to kick Sera out of the Inquisition so long as her disposition remains above hostile, and snipped a few lines from her introduction Lyd pointed out as being weirdly racialized in that Low Elf Esteem linked above.

A day will come when I stop making Chasind Morrigan morphs… but it is not this day (click for better picture quality)

and how you save in Pshop

First off, you need the nvidia plugin. you can get that from here. it’s different from the intel plugin and saving textures for da2 with the intel plugin will cause issues (armor and body textures won’t appear in dx9 and tattoo/complexions won’t appear properly at all)

so when you go to save it, these are the settings you’ll use

if you don’t you’ll lose your alpha channel, you could have a miscolored skin (ive had green and silver skins before -.-; ) etc but these are the settings you use

as for having black faces that could be a number of things. the most obvious is the chargenmorph is not pointing to the right file/the file directory is wrong. here’s a line from my mod for example?

i saved my complexions in the “vaelsmod” folder and then put that folder in a new one, then packed the new folder as an erf. you also want to make sure you have a matching normal map in the folder (you don’t need to add the normal map to the chargenmorph though) so it’ll point right

next, i don’t think DA2 does well with like… higher than 2k complexions? iirc i tried before and i can’t remember if they turned out alright, but they definitely weren’t worth it in the long run. nvidia save time is too long and you don’t really see the detail. so stick to 2048 x 2048 ull be good
