I spotted a baby in the park today. You are supposed to call Turtle Protectors and they will guide local turtles to the ponds or care for them till they can go in. When the volunteers came, they diagnosed this guy as a pet rescue. This species is invasive in Canada (just like me) the offspring of an escaped or abandoned pet and isn't going to the ponds.
There's a sanctuary outside Toronto that takes them. They put him in Tupperware and took him away to see if he could get booked in soon.
