almost done with my pred taper (two more days!) and it's been so fantastic at clearing up the poison ivy, but i am really looking forward to not taking it anymore. the weirdest and most annoying minor side effect: my eyes are unbearably dry and NOTHING has helped it. i look forward to having moisture in my eyeballs again.

i'm never doing yard work without a hazmat suit again. that's a lie. i will do yard work without a hazmat suit in like an hour. but lying is funnier.

#the reason is it's spiking my blood glucose really high #even with medication to address that and with a super low carb diet it's still more or less uncontrollable #and there's not much more to do bg wise other than ride it out #so i'm getting really dehydrated from my body/kidneys trying to clear that #and my body is pulling moisture DIRECTLY FROM MY EYEBALLS #i have chronic dry eye anyway and this is not improving things hahahaha

why am i sitting here staring at my laptop screen when i could be doing literally anything else. at all.

#because there's plenty of things that need to be done but i don't want to be doing them #that's why

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.
