that was .... SO good...... spoilers under cut if you care.
abrupt as fuck ending which is maddening but eh. i don't love what's going on with oreana and carter, they've pissed me off the whole season tbh and i hate THAT storyline, the pregnancy test is just. it's such a cop out. i think the only way i'd enjoy that storyline is if she chooses not to have the baby, and beth is able to help her the way she wasn't helped. maybe that's just me and my beth bias, but i just. i do not give a shit about oreana at all. carter i love to pieces but he's continuously pissed me off throughout the show. typical boy shit, i know. i get it. he has issues, understandably. he's just pissed me off. him being taken at the end, oof. if he'd just answered beth's fucking calls...... no but, i don't think anything's going to happen to him in the next season, necessarily. bri did say she thinks carter's getting taken, and she said that from the beginning, so not surprised in the slightest. i also called him planning to leave, somehow, at some point. so not surprised. annoyed, but not surprised. boys are dumb and he is just a boy.
i love love love love LOVE everett and beth's relationship/dynamic sooooooooo much. genuinely, i think it might be my favourite new thing to come out of the show as a whole, other than obviously all the bethrip stuff. idk i know he's not john but i feel like he's taken on such a fatherly role for beth. maybe it's more like an uncle, idk. but it's just so sweet and i truly adore it so much. the way i would DIE to write everett and beth things.
i'm pissed about the baby cow from the start of the show. i'm SO pissed now knowing what actually happened to the herd, that lil calf didn't have to die and i'm soooooooooo mad about it. actually.
bad bitch beth was back in full force this episode, her and rip's little moments together, the way she fully trusts rip to always be there to save her, to defend her, the ease of it all. i love it so fucking much. i love them. they are without a doubt my favourite couple in any source of media. i love them more than any i've loved before. my babiesssss.
beulah really, truly fucked up HARD and it's so interesting to see her face all those consequences immediately, rather than drag it out. she was completely out of her depth the whole episode and i kinda liked that, it made for such a good contrast to how the season started. i am very interested in exploring her and beth's dynamic, especially in the aftermath of the finale.
lowkey...... i hope azul and zach get their own brands..... lmao
i'm sure there's so much more i could say about the finale, and definitely more i could say about the show / season one as a whole, but that's the gist of my thoughts right now.
