“all men are the same, whether you want to admit it or not, there’s one thing that drives you all in the same way, and no matter how smart you are or how old, now matter how many times you think you’ve won - you’re always going to have one weakness.” a flare of jealousy coursed in her at the mention of other girls, she didn’t want him to go out and pick up anyone he could, she wanted him to be at her side and stay there, but he couldn’t be, not in public and that was what frustrated the blonde more than anything. “i find you attractive, and you’re very good in bed, but irresistible? no not quite yet.” libby stayed quiet at his comments as he took her hand, simply turning to lead him from the bar, keeping her small fingers locked with his. as the night air hit her she paused for a moment, it was quiet out here and the click of her heels was the only think she could hear other than the distant celebrations. spinning libby looked up at owen, stepping closer so that her chest was pressed against his, her neck still tilted to look at him despite the extra inches she was wearing. “i missed you.” she confessed, she didn’t know if she was allowed to say that, but she did anyway.
owen’s lips curved in a smile –not in arrogance, but instead in pure unadulterated happiness. he could tell that this was genuine, so instead of poking fun of it, like he always did, he placed his hand softly on libby’s cheek; his thumb brushing softly against it. “i’ve missed you too pretty girl.” he whispered freely. being away from prying eyes, he found it easier to be himself and not the cocky jackass he would like everyone else to believe he is. “god do you realize how hard it was for me to not kiss you back there?”
