i’m not sure whether the translation isn’t as clear as it could have been or whether i’m just a doof but on first readthrough i thought daichi meant ‘if you do i’m gonna come really close to punching you’ but

on reading it in japanese a while back i discovered that’s not really it

he starts to say ‘i’m gonna punch you’ then cuts himself off & amends it to ‘i’ll almost punch you’ so it’s like….

'if you do i'm gonna sock y—  i'm gonna almost sock you one’

that’s it that’s the worst thing he can say here ‘i would consider punching you but i’d never do it’

like he can’t even joke about hurting suga without turning it into something not remotely threatening at all bless these husbands

& look at suga’s rueful lil smile slay me

also also also let’s just take a second to appreciate that daichi’s generosity with not punching people certainly isn’t universal
