The reference used can be found in the second Endwalker artbook. For this one I used a Strathmore Toned Tan sketch paper, 2B 0.5 mechanical pencil and Faber Castell SuperSoft colored pencils.
And yes, I can draw and paint traditionally.
In fact, Iβm way more comfortable using traditional media than digital but I still need to improve the fundamentals on both π₯² haha

A Ryne Waters study using a reference from the Shadowbringers artbook.
The goal here was to practice rendering because Iβm quite bad at it and it can be very frustrating.
In my opinion this drawing needed way more time before itβs polished enough to be up to my standards but in order to be realistic Iβm stopping at this stage.
From now on Iβm gonna aim at doing a study on the weekends with no WIPs allowed to be carried over from a weekend to the following one because knowing myself and my workload, those WIPs will be added to the endless WIPs never finished and unfinished drawings wonβt make me a better artist.
A study done is better than an idealized study that was never finished due to my perfectionism.
