At the end of this month -31st of July-, the Government is making EVERY PHONE in Australia ring out an alarm at the same time. This may include burner phones.

Please be aware of this. Of you're sensitive to noise I recommend staying inside for the day or just being aware, as i don't know when exactly it will happen

If you have a spare phone for safety reasons, like being in an abusive household and/or relationship, find somewhere to hide the phone where the sound will be muffled or give it to someone else you trust for the day

The reason they're doing this is to test a new system they're working on to make sure it works.

So for example, if there's a bushfire rapidly approaching or deadly smoke or something in the air, they can send out the alarm to that area to warn residents immediately.

This is an Australia only thing! If you don't live here you don't need to worry about the alarm
