I feel like that’s not really the core of it. The huge thing with Donald has been that, more often than not, he is the cause of his bad luck. His actions usually result in consequences, which is why he then lashes out. He is his own bad luck juju.  That’s what’s sorta been missing from the new Ducktales. A lot of bad things happen to him, but he doesn’t seem to be the one causing them a lot of the time, so it ends up feeling like he’s just being thrown around uneccesarily. He’s basically, in a lot of ways, lost the bite he had and that made him fun.  Not to say he can’t be fun and good in the new Ducktales, but he’s certainly a lot… wimpier? In a lot of ways, save except for key moments.

I remember constantly as a teen being unable to buy so much of the Donald merch I saw online and in shops, so now as an adult with a paying job I literally just do what I want and let me tell you it feels great
