The Color of the Stars by bluenebulae this is my zutara bible... i have read this 3 times, and i think it's still my favorite zutara fic. it diverges from canon during the day of black sun. katara and zuko are both captured and thrown into prison and after breaking out together, they become reluctant allies and travel the world in search of the gaang while also trying to warn the other nations about ozai's plans.

Summary:

After the final Breaking of the World when existence is remade by its creator Eru Ilúvatar, second chances are possible. A little Artanis goes into the city with her brother, Finrod, and meets someone who isn't an Elf at the forge. Intrigued by Mairon, who is a Maia instead of an Elf like her, she keeps coming by to visit him throughout the years, and he visits her family, too. They develop a fast friendship, but the older Artanis becomes, the harder it is to remain just friends.

Written for a tumblr prompt for sg1jeditardistrek: Sauron/Galadriel fic post-canon, post-LOTR. Anything goes. This is where my mind went.

Chapter 5: A Request of Great Magnitude

Finarfin, Finrod, Mairon, and Artanis make a journey to the summit of Mount Taniquetil, home of the King and Queen of the Valar in order to make a request never before asked of the Valar.

A Blessing of Eru by Scriberated

Galadriel deals with the fallout of her many, and I do mean MANY, indiscretions with Halbrand. Now there’s a bun in the oven, and her baby daddy turns out to be her mortal enemy. Thanks to Gil-galad, Galadriel is safely hidden, though not in her dreams. And poor, frustrated Sauron is having a very difficult time understanding right from wrong, giving me strong James Flint-esque “everyone is a monster to someone, if you’re so convinced that I am yours, I will be it” vibes. And I’m HERE for that shit! It’s nearly over and I’m very sad, but this last chapter left me gasping, like damn!

The Lesser of Two Evils by Thrill_of_hope

Amazingly beautiful prose, and characters written so much like their television counterparts, you ask yourself if you’re just reading scripts from the show itself. Sneaky Sauron puts himself at the mercy of the elves, so that they might work together to defeat Morgoth. Gil-galad is wise and in charge, Galadriel grudgingly does as she’s told, and Sauron’s just out here having good time (especially when getting Galadriel in trouble with Gil-galad, it’s great).

Across That Fine Line by MyrsineMezzo

Angry Galadriel follows behind smug Sauron in a bid to find a way to bring him down. Only to realize, they’ve ended up on a sexy road trip that he’s been planning all along. AND THATS ONLY HALF WAY! You have to read to find out where this road trip ends up! Sauron just wants to treat his lady right, but still be evil, okay.
