it wasn’t even that cam had done unsatisfactory work, but after the last one, akita wanted no chance of that irritating optimism getting in the way of his greater plans. he can use what the prototype will become, but he can use cam’s destroyed self-confidence even more. “it isn’t the idea, intern, it is the execution. if you could build as well as you daydream, we would be in a new industrial revolution.”
this whole thing really was a drag. maybe he should have gone somewhere else to intern, but -- akira was a genius and to go anywhere else wasn’t acceptable to him. ugh, how can someone be such a perfectionist but be so LAZY ? it was... something. to say the least. ❝ right, right... ❞ he says, exhaling a bit. he goes to turn back to look at his blueprints, ❝ just.. give me more time. i’ll make it better. ❞
