I have been fostering two little orphans (Larro and Ziwadi) for a while now and meeting them last month was one of the most special experiences of my life. @sheldricktrust are doing such an amazing job to help these elephants grow up. All these orphans lost their family at an early age. For just $50 a year you can already adopt a little orphan elephant (or rhino/giraffe). Her mother died in a drought in 2017 and was found alone, still milk dependent with two bulls who watched out for her until the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust @sheldricktrust realized her days were numbered without milk from her mother. She is currently at the Ithumba Reintegration Unit in Tsavo East NP, Kenya. 🐘 To the left of Malkia is Sattao who is a two year old male. Reason for being orphaned is suspected poaching. Sattao is still at the Nairobi Nursery. 🐘 Last but not least on the right is Jotto. This orphan was trapped in a well in Samburu.
