Don't stop the motion

The city is a scene from a film where we portray society as a dollhouse. A dollhouse where one side represents the exterior of the city with people, houses, vehicles, etc., and the other side consists of the rooms inside the buildings, both public and private. The city spins freely in a studio space as its universe. ©2023

This is the "behind the scenes" film.

"Skvis" is an animated film made in collaboration with Napha, the National Competence Center for Mental Health Services in Norway. The film is about Richard, who suffers from a mental illness. He is in need of urgent psychological help and is admitted to the psychiatric emergency department. However, he is quickly discharged due to prioritization and sent home without this information reaching his case worker. He is then left without assistance, alone in his apartment, and at risk of experiencing trauma. The film serves as a discussion tool aimed at employees within various branches of the healthcare system in Norway and is intended to encourage improved collaboration between different entities. ©2023

Det tog sin tid att göra klart gamla halvfärdiga projekt, oroa sig för överlevnaden, läsa coronanyheter överdrivet intensivt, titta på grafer, få tråkigt och komma till den härliga punkten - leta skräp som folk slänger och börja bygga. Official trailer for Ikon/Icon, an animated short based on facts from medical history. The film deals with our conception of the fetus and how we relate to unborn life through 500 years. Icon touches on aspects from early modern beliefs to contemporary ethics and politics. Don't stop the motion combines analogue and digital techniques to achive unique expressions in each project. Icon has a Swedish and Norwegian version, with English subtitles.

The video is conceptual art which expresses the dream and longing for freedom, after a period of constraint where feelings for liberty have been harshly suppressed. The drive to break free opposes the restrained existence within the box.
