SCARLORE → A FAMILIAR PLACE

Sometimes Theo wondered what would have happened if he had listened to his father and pursued acting rather than the medical field, because it seemed his talent was unmatched and his biggest performance yet was getting through an evening with Scarlett Thirwall. The last time he saw her in person was still burned into his memory and it haunted him every time he saw a reminder of her. He was a heartbreaker and if he wanted to protect her heart from even more damage, he had to put on his facade once more. 

Most people usually go with Eliza, since that’s how I introduce myself. How you decided Lizzie was better is a mystery to me. Yeah, I may have been gone for a while, but from what I can tell, the biggest parts of your personality are still the same. Um… nothing, really. My life has been the opposite of exciting since coming back. What about you?

See, I go above and beyond and that is why you love me. I go the extra mile, add that pinch of pizzazz, I do a twirl, a high kick, then end with some jazz hands. And one day when you get me drunk enough, I shall do all of that in a sparkly, sequined leotard with the reddest of heels. Yes, the biggest parts of my personality still are the same and I would gladly show you but unfortunately I feel as if that would cross some boundaries. Aww Lizz, we need to spice up your life and get you out more.

You’re the only one who even thinks to call me Lizzie. But yes, that is something I know. I was asking the question more out of surprise and disbelief than anything. Luckily it’s not too long until the red cups come out?

I’m the only one who ever dares to and I quite like the nickname thank you very much. Good, that means I haven’t lost my touch and haven’t changed much, despite what everyone else thinks. I’m counting down the days, that’s for sure. But other than that, what have you been up to?

No! Don’t say that! How can you just not like pumpkin? I do admit I like those lattes too, that and the gingerbread and eggnog lattes that come later in the season too. And the red cups are a must.

I’m sorry to be a disappointment! I don’t know, pumpkin is just weird, the taste and the texture are not pleasing to my palette at all. Until the red cups come around I am afraid that we are at war Mr. Horton.

Finally, someone in this damn town has some sense.

Someone finally agrees with me!  How does the actual pumpkin turn into any of that stuff? Disgusting.

So are you going to just be avoiding Starbucks until… November?

Lizzie Lizzie Lizzie, I think you and I both know by now that Starbucks currently owns my soul so avoiding it is out of the question. I will, however, will just be merely indulging myself with my usual before the holiday seasons come around.

It seems like I’m one of the few around here that actually is??? That’s okay though, more for me! I love those too, and the gingerbread ones… plus peppermint… basically anything seasonal has high marks from me. I’ll keep you posted though if I catch wind of their release.

I mean, it really works out for us in the end, isn’t that right? Then again, am I really surprised coming from someone who works in a soft serve place which is just sweets galore... You my dear are a blessing in disguise and I don’t know how I would get anything done without you.

I’ve never had one so I don’t see the hype. Guess that makes two of us.

I mean I don’t want to sway you from trying one, you should form your opinion on that but then there’s another part of me that just wants to say: STAY THE FUCK AWAY
