SCARLORE → A FAMILIAR PLACE
Scarlett was a bit nervous at seeing Theo again. The last she talked to him in person seemed like a different time. She missed him, she really couldn’t help it. After being hurt and being angry, she still very much missed him and loved him entirely. Not that she’d admit to still loving him, she rather not admit to that when Theodore has made it clear that he doesn’t have any feelings for her anymore. So she’s going to keep her mouth shut on that front.
After taking a quick shower to wash away the remains of her day at the beach, Scarlett blewdry her hair and left it in its natural way state before throwing on a quick, casual outfit (making sure she looked at least halfway decent in it, unable to help herself from wanting to impress Theo still) and was out the door once she got the rest of the items she needed. They agreed upon meeting at The Diner, so when she arrived and saw that Theo was already there, she tried her best to calm down when she felt butteflies swirming around in her stomach. Scarlett approached the booth he was sat in and smiled despite herself when she sat down. “Hi.”
Sometimes Theo wondered what would have happened if he had listened to his father and pursued acting rather than the medical field, because it seemed his talent was unmatched and his biggest performance yet was getting through an evening with Scarlett Thirwall. The last time he saw her in person was still burned into his memory and it haunted him every time he saw a reminder of her. He was a heartbreaker and if he wanted to protect her heart from even more damage, he had to put on his facade once more.
But, as selfish as it was, he couldn’t help but want to see her more. It was tempting to try and win her heart back but he knew that even seeing her was bad, toxic almost with how he still felt about her. As it was though, he found himself waiting in The Diner for her to arrive, dressed in a white poplin shirt and jeans while his fingers drummed the table. He dismissed the waitress once more, before spotting the blonde entering. Theo nearly stood up to greet her, but she was too quick and he couldn’t help the goofy smile on his face. “Hey to you too. You doing better?”
