MARCO:
So maybe this wasn’t the greatest idea. But did he care? Nope. Marco was so blinded by how much he liked Ava that didn’t particularly think about the fact that they could potentially kick him out of the house. He told Ava to come, although his parents weren’t home yet. They went out to some overly priced place for appearances, but he’d at least get some alone time with her first. And she could check over what he packed.
He dashed to the door when he heard it, not caring if Gossip Girl was planted in his bushes. Word was going to get out today one way or another. “Hey,” He said, as he pressed a quick kiss to her lips and immediately led her up to his room. “So, I was looking into trust fund stuff and they can’t take our money. Once it’s in there, it’s our money. Unless they get permission from someone important like the court.”
AVA:
Ava hated that she and Marco had to pack bags and look into the details of their trust funds just because they wanted to finally go public with their relationship. She hated that the feud between the Bennet and Acardi families had gotten so bad that they both legitimately feared that their parents would excommunicate them. But at the current moment that was their situation, so Ava knew she needed to make the best of it.
Having already packed a bag and stored it in her car (for which she had also just refilled the gas), Ava only found herself hesitating once she was outside of Marco’s house. Were they both really ready to risk everything? Or was some sort of resentment going to spring up between the two should things go very, very wrong? The blonde knew she was overthinking things, but that didn’t stop her from running through every possible outcome to things as she waited for Marco to open the door. Luckily she didn’t have too much time to get lost in her thoughts because before she knew it Marco was in front of her and a bright smile had come to her face. “Hey,” she replied, a little taken aback by the kiss. But they were allowed to do that now. She had to remember that. Following him inside and up to his room, Ava was thankful for the familiar space. “But we can’t access it right away either, right? Or, maybe yours was set to turn over at 18, but mine isn’t until later. So just in case, I took out a thousand dollars from my account and I told Bruce that I may need to crash at his place for a very long time. Alternatively, we have plenty of friends with guest houses, right? This is, without a doubt, the scariest thing I’ve ever done.”
