He was laughing at the mishap, thankful for the hand that seemed to steady him – a savior from busting his ass on the sidewalk that would have caused a scene neither party wanted. Once balance was caught, he’d shake off the so called hit he’d just taken, straightening a bit before speaking.

“Everyone lives, head still very much attached, don’t you worry.” 

“Good. Cool. Awesome. Super glad.” Murphy seemed distracted, spitting out positive words at Nik although he was still taking in the scenery. 

His little stand wasn’t too far away, all he’d needed was some water for his little ones, simple enough, right? Wrong.

“It’s quite alright.” No it wasn’t. “Happens to the best of us.” Hopefully the eye twitch wasn’t too obvious. His shirt was wet now as well. Fantastic.

Murphy paused as he felt magic coursing under his fingers, vibrating through the skin of the man he’d grabbed to keep him from falling.

He tipped his head to the side, invisible and yet still present dog ears perking up, never able to shake the habits of one form even while in the other.

“Sorry, I got excited. There’s a lot of cool stuff here. Where are you going with that... empty cup?”

“Yes, yes you did,” Abby waved him off quickly, more annoyed with herself than the other. It happened way too often recently that she got surprised by others, was it with someone’s dog going loose and almost knocking her over or being actually knocked over by someone that was basically buzzing off the walls if it wouldn’t have been for their steadying hand. Maybe she was due for a nice weekend at the Halloran House. “Maybe consider looking down a bit more to check your path for others. Not everyone is a million miles tall.”

“I’m only like two metres, it’s not that tall.” He furrowed his brow in response to the accusation of being a million miles tall. Murphy didn’t often realize just how large he was in comparison to other people, given that he was often in his animal form, running around between people’s legs.

He didn’t know where to go first, flitting around from booth to booth and trying to take everything in all at once. Turning too quickly, he ran smack into someone, too big to be knocked to the ground but nearly knocking them to the ground, if not for a quick steadying hand.
