Hanfu books recommendation

Recommending two books today introducing historical Hanfu:

"汉晋风流" (Romance/Elegance of Han and Jin ) "唐之雍容" (Grace of Tang)

The books are based off of Hanfu conferences that took place in 2021 and 2022 (there are also other books in this series that I'm trying to get but they've mostly been sold out so I need to check 2nd hand book stores).

The books are all in Chinese, although there are a lot of photos as well. It introduces various artefacts found and links them to Hanfu and accessories. The conference also holds a Hanfu fashion show displaying some historically accurate Hanfu styles.

im watching a little doc on youtube about an 11th century castle, and theres a bit where they are talking to a group of older women who are working on a large hand embroidered tapestry commemorating its nearly 1000 years of history & into the modern era.. and off on the border they show a bit where the women have stitched themselves working on it into the piece itself, and it made me kinda emotional

how amazing to have a visual depiction of the women who spent literal years painstakingly stitching such a wonderful piece of art that historically would have gone uncredited

Regardless of what you think about generative AI in general, NaNoWriMo allowing AI-generated works is beyond stupid because that completely defeats the purpose of the challenge, which is for you, a human being, to write 50,000 words in a month. Yeah, that's hard. That's why it's a challenge. Where is the challenge when you can ask a chatbot to spit out 50,000 words of whatthefuckever for you? Even if you think that is a legitimate way to produce fiction, even if you don't care about the ethics of training on stolen works... where's the challenge? What's left of NaNo at that point?

fics that are like 500 to 1200 words or so often have a particular kind of energy to me - like the author sat bolt upright in bed, struck by the most brilliant inspiration of their entire lives, and then typed as fast as their fingers would allow them to in order to capture it all before it left.

oneshots that are just a straight, clear shot from the brain to the page with no real filter in between? that's good stuff right there.
