It's so easy to believe Alicia is Gone on her Lloyd. I mean, why wouldn't she be? Just look at him: he's clever and incredibly competent, to the point where she's correct in thinking that he can turn her kingdom into an empire, as one does. And even on the personal level, he's so good for her! He's her shining savior, he's her favorite boytoy, he's the *only* person she can experience a sense of unbreakable trust with—something she craves but can never achieve with anyone else. Lloyd is, quite possibly, the most valuable person in her existence, where is she going to find another like that? That's right, she isn't. Better to keep the one she *does* have and hope he wouldn't escape to the prairies the moment her attention isn't on him.
And for Lloyd? As soon as he steps out of the palace, she's gone from his mind. He doesn't need her, he doesn't miss her, he doesn't seem to think of her at all. He values her A Lot less than he does the Fronteras—I don't think he's attached to her as much as to any member of his newfound family. Would he carry her letter in his breast pocket? I doubt that. Sure, she's hot, but he won't take that shot. The only time he thinks of her is when she needs saving or he needs something from her (as a ruler of his country). Her entire lifestyle is antithetic to his. Be it his will, he probably wouldn't be back at all.
...She's noticed.
And her solution is to catch him and to bind him so that he couldn't escape. Because he's not going to stay out of his own volition.
Aren't they off to a good start?
Lorddssss someone make this into a fic !!! The angst potential in this is just Soo 🤌🤌
