Lego F1 is ideal as stocking fillers
Xmas is coming up soon and here at DSR we are already thinking about presents. If you have anybody who loves F1 and enjoy playing with Lego, why not combine the two hobbies? Luca Rosconi, a mechanical engineer created these wonderful Lego F1 cars.
A 1992 Williams FW14B F1 car driven by Nigel Mansell in which he won the F1 World Championship. The Lego model is nowhere as sophisticated as the original but who cares? It has a V10 engine with exhaust pipes and radiators and working steering and suspension. Along with the Williams, there is also the McLaren Mp4-4, the Ferrari 312T and the Tyrrell P34. Priced at just over £9 ($15) it is the perfect stocking filler for a child or a child at heart.

The disappearing door first showed its head on the BMW Z1, but a California based company named Jatech have chosen to implement it on much larger executive saloons.
Do you think this will work? It will certainly help stop dings in supermarket car parks.
The Silver Arrows (Silberpfeil) were the legendary Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union Grand Prix racers of the 1930s supposedly named by the press for their German national racing color. They established the primacy of German race cars by achieving speeds (over 300 km/h in race trim, higher in land speed trim) and outputs not matched until much later. (Read More Petrolicious)

Amazing concept: Ferrari F80
Ferrari F series cars are a set of stunning cars with a long line of heritage written by Enzo Ferrari. The F40, being the last car Enzo was part of was dramatic in every possible way. It then paved the way for other greats such as the F50, Enzo and the LaFerrari to succeed it.
An Italian-American Transport design student named Adriano Raeli has designed this dazzling concept as the F80 concept.
Powered by a twin turbo V8, similar to that in the McLaren P1, it pushes out just under 900 bhp to the rear wheels. It is mated to Ferrari's K.E.R.S system adding another 300 bhp bringing the total to 1282 bhp. That is utter madness in a car that weighs only 800kg.
The car will hit 62 mph in just a little over 2 seconds reaching a top speed of 310 mph. Granted this is only a concept and all numbers are theoretical but today’s LaFerrari isn’t that far off with its 6.3 Litre V12 and 950 bhp combined power output. If this concept does come to fruition, it will blow rivals such as the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg Agera R One:1 out of the water.
I want to see this in the future on a Ferrari stand at one of the larger motorshows. Let’s hope Ferrari stick with their V12 layout, but a twin-turbo V12 would be a great idea.

Could this be one of the rarest Ferraris ever built? It is one of the two manual Ferrari Californias said to be in existence. That makes it even rarer than the special edition Ferrari Sergio.

The legend that is the Jaguar XJ220. Absolutely breathtaking design.
These Rally Fighters are an amazing 'kit car' built by you and the team in America. Who wouldn't want a road legal 'rally' car?
