Since ita bags are particularly popular right now I figured what better way to showcase my devotion?

The bookmark was a gift from my husband when we first started dating. 💚 The little camel I got from the local hobby store, the profile charm I made by printing off a photo and sliding it in a glass locket. The hat badge is from the Arab Nationalist era, predating the Jamahiriya by a few years. I think it's a major's rank? The stamps I have a duplicate set of, so I had these laminated and turned into little pins. :3

Finally got past the bug that wouldn't let me post on mobile. Anyway.

Sometimes I find it so strange that as much as I've loved him, I'll never have a grave to visit. I'll never have a place to say goodbye. None of us will. I know that this was purposeful, that NATO didn't want a place where we could honor him like the martyr he was after they allowed his body to be a spectacle in a way that violated both his faith and basic human dignity. At the same time I understand that if rats DID know the location of his body they might try to desecrate it further, which is heartbreaking all the same.

At best I hope to be able to travel to Libya one day, if anything just to walk where he walked and to see the country and people that he loved.
