Some people who are on Dreamty's discord server may be familiar with this small fic, but I just realized I didn't post it anywhere else so here it is!
This year’s Ramadan was an anxious prospect for Leila. It was the first one they had to spend all alone. They had forgotten to eat in the morning since their phone was broken, which meant no alarm, and obviously no one to wake them up. Not that they would have had much to eat anyway, aside from a few overripe bananas, the fridge was empty.
Needless to say, their fast hadn’t begun under the best conditions.
They slipped out at the end of the afternoon, throwing a random jacket on top of their pajamas and headed to the convenience store down the street.
The familiar chime rang as they entered, they were ready to go straight to the food aisles when a familiar voice called them out.
“Not even saying hello, huh?”
They turned, a little surprised to see her— slightly embarrassed as well… They were a total mess.
“Rosanne? What are you doing here?”
“Uhm… I work here…?” she replied teasingly.
“You know what I meant…”
Rosanne raised her hands in surrender, not wanting to mock her friend any longer.
“Alright, alright… I took the day shift since my mom wants me home for the first day of Ramadan.”
“Wait, you’re muslim too?”
“I never told you? My bad. In my defense my relationship with religion is a bit… chaotic.”
A brief silence fell as Leila drifted in their thoughts, quickly broken by Rosanne.
“Last minute purchase for iftar?”
Leila blinked, remembering why they had come.
“Ah… yes. My fridge is empty.”
“Haha, figured. If you want, my boss made a stock of brick pastry sheets for the occasion.”
“Thanks, but I don’t know how to make bricks. I’m just here for a salad and a sandwich.”
They spoke as they moved, grabbing what they needed from the fridge before going back to the counter. Rosanne stared at their selection with disbelief.
“You can’t be serious?”
“Well, I am. How much do I owe you?”
“Five forty, but that’s not the point, these are barely nutritious.
Leila handed over the money, silently asking for her not to pry any further. Rosanne gave them their change with a sigh.
“What time do you usually go to sleep?”
Leila raised an eyebrow.
“Why? I look that bad?”
“Just answer me!”
They shrugged.
“Depends. I haven’t been sleeping early lately. So I’d say midnight? Probably later.
Rosanne nodded, taking good note of it.
“Alright, see you then!”
“Wha-”
But she didn’t let them time to answer and greeted the next client, not without a last, teasing glance toward Leila.
Back home, Leila was still a bit stunned by this interaction, but they were starting to get used to it. Rosanne was quite a phenomenon, but they can’t say she was an unpleasant company.
After a quick shower, they immediately prepared themself their salad — over salting it by accident — and opened the box of tuna sandwiches they just bought.
Leila sighed at this view, they kinda missed the feast they used to eat at this period of the month with their family. Maybe they should have taken the brick pastry sheets as Rosanne recommended, tried to make some, but they didn’t trust their cooking skills enough for that and it wasn’t the best period to waste food.
A few hours later, the doorbell rang. Leila froze and muted the TV. Who could be here at this hour? They silently crept to the window to get a glimpse of the impromptu visitor and immediately relaxed at the sight of Rosanne’s unmistakable pink cheetah print faux-fur coat. They quickly fixed their hair before opening the door.
“Heyy! Ramadan mubarak!”
Leila went speechless at the sight of the size of the enormous bag Rosanne was holding.
“What’s all this?”
Rosanne slipped inside the house, kicking her shoes at the door, and made her way to the living room.
“This, sweetie, is some of the best pieces of Turkish cuisine you could get your hands on.”
“You made it?”
“Yup, with my mom. Taste it and see how wife material I am.”
A faint blush reached Leila’s ears as Rosanne filled the coffee table dish after dish?
They stepped forward, ready to taste everything, but Rosanne stopped her mid-motion.
“Wait! It’s aesthetically perfect. I need a picture for my story.”
A little laugh escaped their lips as they patiently waited for Rosanne to carefully capture the table.
“Okay!” she said proudly “So here you have some köfte, moroccans have something similar, right? Here it’s pide, which was a hassle to save for you because my dumb brother almost ate all of it. Over there it’s called gözleme and, obviously, I brought some dolma. I hope you’ll like it.”
Leila made sure to take a bite of everything. Each dish was better than the last, but it was far more than she could finish.
“Thank you so much Rosanne, it was delicious, but I think you might have overestimated my stomach.”
“What? You’re already full?! I had a surprise for you.”
“If it’s the baklava, I’ll save them for later.”
“No, something better.”
She rummaged through the plastic bag and revealed a plate of a dozen golden brick pastries.
“Tada! We don’t usually make this at home but I wanted to try so I could bring you some.
Leila froze, staring at her as if she’d just performed a miracle.
“How did you know I love these?”
“I didn’t! All of my Arab friends told me it was the thing to bring. That’s your favorite?”
“Not exactly, but I did missed it.”
They took a large bite, savoring it slowly, a satisfied sigh escaping her lips. If they could cry right now, they might have.
“You’re definitely marriage material, this is incredible.” they joked.
“Well, I guess all that’s left is for you to propose.”
“Hmm, maybe I will.”
Rosanne tried her best to hide the deep red blooming across her face. Every time she tried to fluster Leila, she somehow ended up flustered herself.
Leila definitely noticed the way Rosanne’s face color just changed and definitely enjoyed her reaction.
They spent the rest of the night together, speaking of everything and nothing. Rosanne convinced Leila to let her teach them a few recipes and they ended up their impromptu dinner with a good tea made from scratch with what they found at the store.
“We definitely have to do this again! I arranged my schedule since my family usually want me around for Ramadan. I’ve got weekends off to eat with them. If you want I can come here and cook with you so you can try the recipes yourself.”
“Don’t worry Rosanne, you should spend that time with your family.”
“Oh please, I prefer your company over the terrible duo my mom and grandma make. I’m fed up with their talk about growing up, settling down, having a family… you know.”
“Well… if you insist.”
“I didn’t, but sure.”
They laughed.
“So that’s a deal. You’re doing me a favor anyway. I love cooking, I just rarely do it for myself because of work.”
“I’m glad I can be useful then, even if all I do is eat.”
A comfortable silence settled between them. Rosanne was ready to say goodbye when Leila’s voice stopped her before she could say a word.
“I just wanted to say… Thank you. I really appreciate what you did for me today.”
Rosanne gave them a heartfelt smile.
“It’s nothing. I’m just glad I could take care of a friend… I really like your company.”
Her heart pounded in her chest. There was no denying the attraction she felt for Leila anymore, and that last sentence felt close to a confession for her. Leila didn’t answer, she just gave a warm smile in return not letting Rosanne know if they got the hint or not.
The two of them parted ways with a nice feeling tucked in their chest. Love for one, and something steadily growing into it for the other.
hey dresmty! i wanted to share some thoughts i’ve been having and maybe you could like help me out a bit! I’ve been enjoying your games for a LONG time now (well for me i dunno if 3-4 years is long for you but it is for me) and when i got first like a blink of appel bag i was immediantly head over heels for leila. But these past questions feels like they are too neutral(??) about everything. like they seem to not really care about a lot so it feels a bit … empty?? to like them?? like i know nearly nothing about them and everything i do know is them being neutral about it or straight up not caring. which is not wrong or anything bad but i wanted to know if they are so neutral about everything? and if not what are they not neutral about?? (also aurore has been my new favorite lately cause she’s the completely opposite of nonchalant when you get to know her in the game which I love) anyway little bit of a rant so sorry byeeee
Anon you're a veteran because I've been making games for only 3 years now, if you've liked them since the first games then you deserve a medal.
Now I'll answer the rest of the ask under a spoiler cut because it kinda spoil a bit of Leila's character and also answer the question I got asked "what is Leila's worst trait"
The reason why Leila is so neutral about everything is because they're forcing themselves to be. They used to be extremely outgoing, angry, emotional and rebellious. This lifestyle leads them to a very strong conflict in their personal life which makes them do a full rebrand of their personality in hopes of finding peace in calm and neutral life.
I explained it before but Leila is the only li who doesn't have a crush on mc from the start of the game. The reason why they get close to mc is because mc brings some events in their life that sound fun and kinda stop the monotonic life they were building for themselves.
Also extreme religious guilt and desire to overdo it as compensation for past wrongdoing.

So, about your other games, can you tell us more about Achik? I recently played tulip and I liked him, i loved the vampire aesthetic of the game and him! is there any plans for more games with him?
Also, I hope it's not a bad question or something, but I got curious. Which one of your characters are actually OCS from another games or universes and you end up creating your own world? And why?

I don't mind asks about my other games ! The only reason you see me talk less about it is because I view this games as less good and in need of revamp to be considered canon. As long as the games aren't updated I won't count the characters in the main asks but I am still happy to answer questions if people ask directly about them. I'm always pleasantly surprised when someone tell me they played the games ( in a good way but also in a "why would you play that, it's not good" way )
Achik is one of the central characters of Paranormal club so I won't reveal much about him completely yet. Tulipe is intended to have a remake that explore him more and flesh him out better. So you'll get to see him in the remake + in his parts of paranormal club.
Now to answer the last ask !
Rowan, Leila, Aissata, Alioth and Silas were all made for their games. Everyone else is a recycled mc. For context, when I get into fandom I end up making very complex characters to the point they can become their own separate storie and that how I end up often just turning the characters in their own story instead of just keeping them as game mc (Also I used to roleplay a lot lol)
Aisha was my Blooming Panic mc.
Awène was a the arcana mc re used as a mc for moonlight lover.
Erinna and Alicia were Eldarya mc recycled as moonlight lover mc.
Françoise was a moonlight lover and a two against the world mc.
Vlad and Béliath were actual characters from moonlight lovers I decided to turn into oc.
Clem and Aurore were Black tarot mc and Aurore was also a Roadkill and Ghosted mc.
Sierra was an Obey me mc.
Most of the side characters in Paranormal club are oc who were built up around the base mc ( Achik was created for Alicia, Mathilde was added after etc... )
If you feel like burning your eyes with very old fancontent, I invite you to search the game tags on my personal art blog because there is probably some relics still up on there (If It's not erased out of shame) Else if some people are REALLY curious I'll try to dig to see if I can find old artworks (because back then I only drew traditional )

Aurore is a big enjoyer, 20/10.
Silas would be second but only for big boobs. 15/10
everyone else is relatively normal about boobs.

Hi hi anon ! For reference the Alioth jealousy post and the Leila Jealousy post.
Aurore hates to admit it, but at the beginning of the relationship she was very easily jealous. Understand her she doesn't have the best record of healthy relationships and she can't help feel. She ask a lot of question, request reassurance, needs a bit to warm up with some people but if you're patient she'll grow comfortable and will be more chill. If she's actively jealous you're getting the total : location on, constant texting, regulation of your acquaintance etc... (it's unhealthy)
Rowan wouldn't be jealous but she would be territorial (I couldn't think of a better term) It's not that she doesn't trust you, she just want to make it CLEAR to other people that their attempt at flirting with someone taken will not be appreciated. She doesn't over do it too much, she's just drop the infos that you are dating, come by your side or get close to hold your hand if she sense something is up. She likes when thing are clear and direct.
Aissata and Clem are in a similar boat so I'll answer both as one. They are way more insecure than jealous. There is always a small voice in their head that think about how you could do better. They are very grateful to be loved but sometimes when they see you enjoying yourself with someone who obviously like you, they think that maybe they are not the best suited to make you happy. If they start being jealous they'll bring it up to you and it's really important that you reassure them as to not feed their anxiety.

If people are interested in the plush I would be okay selling it, but it would required some checkin about whether or not I can actually ship them safely (the plus is kinda big for an envelope).
Regardless I did intended to make other characters ! I wanted to do Silas, Aurore and Clem ! But I'll still see about it. The only reason plush Alioth exist was because I had a nice deal with my manufacturer.

Rowan is a complicated actual answer. Shes does assume everyone should dress accordingly fancy and think you sense of style is really nice, but she struggle understanding why you don't adapt your outfit for occasions. It doesn't seems
Leila would think you look nice but would maybe be less interested in wanting to know more about you. It's bad to judge but Leila has always been gravitating toward simpler things and people, so someone really fancy would not be their to go type of person.
Aurore would feel kinda underdressed and would compare herself until she eventually get over it and simply appreciate your good taste. She would have a blast drawing you with all you pretty outfits.
Clem is kinda similar to Aurore in the sense that he'll feel underdressed and maybe childish compared to you. If you have a crush on them, I'm sorry to say but it will be way harder to get into a relationship because he'll always assume you deserve someone as fancy as you. Older clem would have less of that problem with that and serve a hype guy.
Alioth would probably treat you like royalty. He knows your wardrobe by heart, know what accessories match well with what and does try to match your fanciness when the two of you go out. He indule a lot in seeing yourself dolling up, it's quite sweet and he's very much in love. (Think how ponyo's dad looks at ponyo's mom)

I'm graduating this week which mean I am officially out of my dev hiatus.
So what are the plans ?
July is artfight season, I've been participating in the event for 6 years now and will continue to do so, which mean no major work will be done during this month. Nevertheless, I'll be working on the 2.0 of 21 questions and host the 2026 editions of colorful love Jam during the month.
Apple bag will get back in development for it's second major update starting August. New positions will be open during that season ( such as guest artist, voice actors and possible writing help. ) The estimate release of the update will be for winter of 2026.
In the meantime, Let's meet tomorrow and Another romance game might get a final correction update to clear all typos and errors in game.
In the paralel, without a certain date, Tulipe and Night Shift will be completely revamped for a new release.
Now that all for the already existing game, let's talk new games !
I have two small game draft ideas and one game idea already 90% written. There is a chance (If i'm not overworking myself) that new games will be made as breaks from major work. I won't share much about them as drafts stay drafts to not give false hope.
REGARDING ASKS ANSWERS
I'm gonna continue answering them but there is a chance that the ask box will get closed in the month of August as I work on apple bag. This is yet confirmed.

How would Alioth deal with being given the silent treatment? Is it different pre-confession (perhaps MC is annoyed for whatever reason and refuses to come over or talk to him) compared to post-confession? :3
Before confession he's gonna match the energy and AVOID YOU. You are the plague, you do not exist, how daaaaaare you give him the silent treatment ?! He'll do the same... for the longest time !
Until someone do something and force the two of you to talk again.
Post confession Alioth is more posed and actually working on his emotions if they involved mc, so he wouldn't do that. Depending on the extremity of the issue and if mc has expressed wanting to be by themself he would leave them take a break if needed. Else if the situation looks like it needs to be addressed, he'll insist on working on things and discuss even if it means he'll have to follow mc around for a long walk.
If you dont mind me asking, I really liked aisha! I got a little sad that her game is so short because I want more of her now! Is she going to have any more games or just showing up at other games? And if you don't mind me asking too, can you tell any fun fact about her? She sounds to he so cool!

Aisha is going to do some cameos in other games but won't really get her game on her own because fun fact, she's actually my blooming panic oc :} ! GOCRN was a silly game made for fun because I like her but I think she's better suited as a fan oc rather than a main lead.
She's gonna have some screen time in 21 questions 2.0 update since she already had a name dropping cameo in the game + It's canon that Leila knows Clem.
