Lost in Kyiv are a long-running Parisian band who inject prog and dark pop into their post-metal. Their fifth album We're All Going to Be Fine will be released on June 19th by Pelagic Records.

Reekmind are an Aussie band who focus on the dankest, doomiest parts of Incantationcore. The three song EP Glints From The Crematorium will be released on July 24th through Night Terrors Records.

Author & Punisher will be touring across the US West Coast in the Fall, with Guiltless as a support act. Tickets and info can be found here.

Originally formed in 1988, Grim Legion are death metal OGs from New Jersey who make up for in authenticity what they lack in activity. Their first album in 12 years (and second overall), Harbingers Of Death will be released on July 10th by Horror Pain Gore Death Productions.

Formed by members of the Dutch death metal band Entrapment, Savage are yet another band to pay tribute to the classic Sunlight Studios/HM-2 sound. [I'd suggest that the Netherlands has its own rich death metal history that could use a little revivalism, but I digress.] Their latest EP Septic Tomb is out now as a "name your price" download, with an upcoming vinyl by MilkCow Records and CD release by Dawnbreed Records and Necrolatry Records to be out on July 6th.

Shroud are a Canadian group who combine the frigid - or is that Phrygian? - melodies of second wave (mainly Swedish) black metal with the neck-wrecking rhythms of Teutonic thrash. Their first full-length Pax Nocturna was self-released and is out now.

Minnesota's Nothingness are a band to watch, due to the way they fuse elements of classic death metal with its modern avant/dissonant counterpart. Their third album Godslaughter will be released on July 31st by Everlasting Spew Records.
