these feelings are resultant, not at all intentional, of spending months in the reddit shifting spaces on and off.
maybe itβs just another cesspool of the people reddit naturally attracts: overly skeptical, dogmatic, arrogant, βobjectiveβ ppl who genuinely struggle to accept that ppl have different viewpoints that are as valid as their own.
but reddit is just FILLED with ppl who, the minute you state an unconventional view on reality shifting (iβll give an example that did piss sb off there: tho i do believe for a multitude of reasons that lucid dreaming is a shift IN A WAY, just bc sb has an unconventional shift doesnβt automatically mean they were dreaming), go into flight or fight to protect the βpurityβ of reality shifting
as if itβs an objective science;
as if it can be quantified;
as if consciousness can really explain the difference between dreams and shifting beyond personal interpretation based off past experience!
i just wanted to share my opinions there bc i think i should put them in the online space. novices or other intermediates who havenβt experienced looser, more intentionally laissez-faire attitudes to reality shifting can benefit and may increase their success rates from it.
however, the reddit shifting community is just rampant with dogmatists and skeptics, the majority of whom havenβt even fucking reality shifted themselves. (FYI: not all ppl who shifted are like this. wanna make that clear that i donβt demonize those who havenβt shifted)
they seem to believe more in lucid dreaming more than actual reality shifting, dismissing all the colorful forms shifting can take. yes, lucid dreaming has more science behind it and is easier to do for many ppl. itβs not the de facto answer to ppl whoβve had strange shifts or even unexplainable OBEs.
no, i donβt think reality shifting is just anything. then reality shifting is nothing.
i do however believe that my expanded view of what it is, how it can look like, and my acknowledgment that REALITY SHIFTING DOESNβT LOOK OR FEEL THE SAME FOR ALL PPL arenβt harming anyone.
no, not every person who wasnβt able to stay in their DR for long or fell asleep into a reality and shifted back unintentionally had a dream! (this hasnβt happened to me personally but on a post i replied to)!

like, is it possible to confuse a dream for a shift? yes, as anything is rlly possible. but if youβre a person who doesnβt lucid dream often, doesnβt have very vivid dreams, or can sense subtle energy changes, YOU WILL KNOW THAT YOU SHIFTED.

anytime you imagine your dr, you are there.
yes, your awareness is technically still in your body, but signals from another dimension are temporarily intercepted during the daydreaming or imagining process.
yes, what you hear or see may not be accurate. things may be blurry, dull, or nonsensical; you or someone in your dr may be not look how you scripted; but that doesnβt automatically mean those frequencies are self-generated by your brain.
when you lie down to shift, you are literally there in your visualization bc of ur focus has changed from this present to infinity.
your brain is a transceiver, it is not and will never be the creator.
the subconscious and conscious mind donβt reflect reality, they only interpret experiences meaningfully to keep you alive. these two parts of the conscious mind are still material phenomena.
you donβt really need to adopt a LoA mindset (sometimes LoA can be forced down peopleβs throats in this community, but that doesnβt mean im against it as a philosophy in isolation and im all for ppl saying what helped them shift) in order to explain why your awareness is still in this body but that youβre still in your dr when youβre receiving ideas and sensations from where you scripted, that this was a shift.
itβs just that your awareness hasnβt fully committed to leaving this body, or going to wherever your consciousness is trying to direct it but those visualizations werenβt yours.
nor were they figments of the imagination.
does this sound a bit delulu? ngl, yeah. but concrete, rational thinking works only for a completely 3d, material reality.
and babes, we arenβt completely material beings and shifting isnβt a solely 3d process.
our physicalities are just distillations from a vast, omnipresent universe that science canβt quantify or measure yet or at all.
we are infinity.
we are tiny gods.
we cannot be reduced to one present, one body, one mind, one lifetime, one viewpoint, one culture, one planet, or one cosmos.
we are mystifyingly complex interplays between nerves, skin, muscle, tissue, bone, vitamins, minerals, electromagnetic spectra, vibrations, space, time, light, and phenomena weβll likely never comprehend in full.
and thatβs terrifying.
infinity for a simple ape who only came down from the trees for berries and resources is terrifying.
thus we shut out the possibility of more. not having more or wanting more (no our brains still not the feel-good chemicals to keep going), but BEING MORE.
and to believe that daydreaming, visualizing, and dreaming IS more than what we do when we idle is another way our monkey brains shut out possibility.

Iβve been sitting on this question for a while, because I feel like my expressive writing ability has been on the fritz. Iβm trying to get it back.Β
So Iβm going to start from the general (suicide in general) and go to the specific (medically assisted suicide/active euthanasia).Β
First and foremost, I believe that bodily autonomy is an absolute human right with zero exceptions. As long as a personβs choice about xyr individual body is informed and uncoerced, anyone should be free to do whatever ze wants with xry own body always and forever.Β
βInformedβ and βUncoercedβ are key, there. Informed β if they understand that the action they take is likely to result in their death, and they understand that death is permanent and irreversible, and that if a person is not being coerced into the decision, then, if a person wants to take action likely to result in xyr death, no one should have the power to stop xem.Β
After all, if a person wants to make that choice, the only way to stop xem would be to infringe on their bodily autonomy (e.g. by restraining them) which is unacceptable.Β
So ultimately, yes, a person giving informed, uncoerced consent should be free to end xyr own life.Β
However.Β
Most humans, most of the time, have an extremely powerful survival instinct.Β
If we didnβt, we would have gone extinct long ago.Β
When a critical number of people have lost that survival instinct, thatβs a massive warning sign about those peopleβs living conditions.Β
If people are denied the freedom and resources to live and thrive as their authentic selves, and this drives them to lose their survival instinct, they are not making a free, informed, uncoerced choice to end their lives; theyβre being socially murdered.Β
Circling back to medically assisted suicide in particular, here we have left the realm of individual personal choice of oneβs own body β medical euthanasia is not merely an individualβs choice, itβs an official, government-sanctioned stance of the medical community, society, and the state, that death is the best solution to some peopleβs lives. When a person seeks medical care and the doctor says βHave you considered just dying instead of being a useless eater burden to your family and society?β this is not a matter of individual choice. This is the combined forces of every social institution declaring that disabled lives are not worth living.Β
People are βchoosingβ medically assisted suicide after being denied healthcare, housing, incomes, or freedom. This is no choice at all. This is social murder. Individuals should be free to end their lives if they choose to, but doctors certainly should not be able to suggest it as a treatment option.Β
Consider also how the spectre of suicide is used against different parts of the disability community differently. For psychiatrically disabled/Mad/Neurodivergent people, suicide is held up as the threat justifying the necessity of incarceration and forced drugging. βIf we let this person have bodily autonomy, they might kill themself, therefore, we have to lock them up and chemically restrain them.β For physically and especially mobility impaired people, suicide is pushed as the medically, scientifically, socially, and morally objectively correct βchoiceβ (βNo one would want to live like that and be a burden on their familyβ). The term βdeath with dignityβ is so telling β βdignityβ is defined as incompatible with disability, better to die abled (βwith dignityβ) then to live as disabled (βwithout dignityβ).Β
In summary: Bodily autonomy should be an absolute, no-exceptions human right. No one should be denied bodily autonomy for the sake of βpreventing suicideβ. However, βchoosingβ to die by suicide when someoneβs life has been made unlivable by systemic ableism, oppression, deprivation, or abuse is not a βchoiceβ; itβs a murder.Β
If you keep saving pink cars to your mood board, your algorithm is going to fill with pink cars and have a notice written: "based on your last saved pins." It shows you what it thinks you want based on what you keep addressing and choosing.
If you don't want to see pink cars, you either ignore the pins, or you click the 3 dots and touch: "hide pin". Then you stop seeing it again.. If you do, you continue to correct your algorithm.
If you want to keep seeing PNG icons, you WILL make a mood board for it. AKA, you're making room for it to stay and identify with you/your profile. The more you add, the more your algorithm produces it so you can keep engaging with it. Eventually, if that's the only category of pins you save to your board, you will inevitably be surrounded by PNG icons on your feed...
There's no way to unsuccessfully build an algorithm. You like that phone case? Save it! Keep saving it. You'll get more that look like it and you can keep saving it. Until you decide to click 'hide pin' and delete your mood board COMPLETELY, you will have the same algorithm. It's impossible to NOT see your pins unless YOU keep deleting them and no longer identifying with them by having them on your profile.
You build the algorithm. The algorithm doesn't build itself and it's not gonna self-destruct or test you. It simply goes off of what you keep selecting.
Thoughts/identity = pins.
Repeated attention = saving.
Rejecting old stories = hide pin.
External feedback of who you're being = homepage.

Please I want you to read this post, mabye it is too long for you, but atleast try it, I think it might be impotant for you specially for those who feel stuck in shifting.
After being in this community for a long time, and going on and off about shifting, being able to experience the contrast of the shifting community through the years, there was something I just noticed (Sorry If I am late) is the fact that shifting is something about the inside, about our consciousness and awareness.
When we first think about shifting, or someone asks us what it is, the primal answer would be: Is moving your consciousness to another reality.
But the thing is that we really don't understand this.
What I mean with that is that we spend so much time focusing on the physical symptoms when we are "Trying to shift" thinking that the physical symptoms are the answer or the measure of how close we are to being in our dr, when this is not the real measure.
I have always been really curious about the process of shifting around 2020. How would the change of realities would feel, can you feel how the realities change with your 5 senses? Is something instant? Or mabye is something of going to sleep and wake up.
After chasing so many times the answer I just conclude that shifting is not a magical world or something extraordinary taken from a fantasy book but instead something that we do EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Shifting is something about the inside, that is something clear.
But sometimes it is even a lot more complicated than we thought because it is something we are not USED to.
But Yuna, what do you mean that is something about the inside?
I want you to imagine an apple, a green apple with a leaf in the steam.
You being able to imagine the apple in your head is the answer.
You can't SMELL the apple.
You can't TOUCH the apple.
You can't TASTE the apple.
You can't HEAR the apple.
And you can't SEE the apple.
Because it is not something physical we have and is not something that you have it in front of your face.
But instead in your head you definitely CAN do all of those 5 things.
I want you to stop for a second and think.
When you imagined the apple, did you felt how all your attention went to the apple inside of your head and FOR MILISECONDS.
You were aware of this reality but also with the apple in your head?
But you didn't need to count to 100, take deep breaths and listen to a subliminal.
No.
All you had to do is to change you attention to the apple. That's it.
Maybe it is hard for you to understand and tbh is completely fine because it took me a while to understand.
But the important thing I want you to understand is that your answer when someone asks what is Reality Shifting and you answer:
Is changing your consciousness to another reality.
I want you to simplify the MAX as possible how we can do that.
Forget about the subliminals, forget about counting to 100, forget about taking deep breaths.
But instead, focus on the MILLISECOND you were able to focus on the apple while you were in this reality, but at the same time you weren't here.
(coming from a procrastinator that often gets bored during attempts and STILL shifts anyway)
HI SHIFTBLR! I'm back with a big post.
So, I've been on tiktok lately and i've been seeing a lot a lot a LOT of people talking about how to awake shift and it really inspired me to speak on my experience because i don't really see that many people share their awake shifting experiences in detail.
Just for context, I use my own method to awake shift. It's fairly easy. All it takes is patience and some free time, that's all.
There's this girl on tiktok named Kas who PERFECTLY encapsulated my METHOD in a video but in way better words. She defined shifting as DISCONNECTION, IDENTIFICATION, AND RECONNECTION! That is exactly it! Most people get stuck on Disconnection and give up. I often get really bored before this part but trust me that's just your ego trying to stop you! Don't ever listen! You could live your dream life rn babes why would you quit?!?
So, THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO SHIFT WHILE AWAKE:
I meditate by breathing in like 2-5 times, sometimes i do it for longer but i find that if i do it for too long, i end up falling asleep. This step is important but it shouldn't be overdone because your body isn't even needed to shift.
i immediately start on DISCONNECTION. I tell myself "I am disconnected from my current reality. I am not this body / vessel" until i start to feel a little floaty.
After feeling floaty, i'm still feeling connected to my CR but i kinda ignore it and just skip straight to connecting to my DR SELF via identity affirmations.
Usually at this point i start to visualize where i'll wake up and sometimes i get so deep in it that i dont even have to do CONNECTION because i'll start hearing stuff from my DR or feeling stuff. Like if i'm petting my cat, i'll subtly feel her fur but like in my CR if that makes sense?? It's like i can FEEL it as my DR self but my CR self is feeling the sensations. I actually hate this because it feels like a game of cat n fucking mouse. Like whats the point of that "phantom" ass feeling? Just shift and feel it for real lmaoo!!
I'm going to try to explain this as best i can: When I shift while awake, it's lik the reality fades in. Like, I'm in my CR doing affs, and then all of a sudden i'm in my DR. . . there is no distinction of travel between the two. i'm just here one moment and then the next im in my DR. I can never predict the exact moment because it just happens and im not even really paying attention when it does. I just notice that i'm there, yk?
lately i've been getting bored after the feelings stop, so i just kinda give up :/ but i still hear stuff from my DR so i count that as a partial shift, aka shifting regardless!!!
