hello, sorry for not being here! but, that said, i’m probably going to put this blog on a bit of a semi-hiatus? i don’t have any motivation to be here and it’s been a long time since i felt like anybody besides me was actually interested in mio. i hate putting things this bluntly but i feel it’s better for me to just state how i feel in clear words. i don’t really have the energy or the heart to keep trying and getting nothing out of it, and the fact is that the rpc really doesn’t give a shit about female ocs. i’m just going to leave it at that. there’s no use mincing words.

anyway, to everybody who has taken an interest in mio since feb ‘16, thank you. i mean it. that means a lot. still, since i moved blogs in the hopes of reenergising a failing muse, since i changed fcs to a lesser-known (by tumblr rpc standards) fc, things have just taken such a dip that my will to log on here and get writing done has fizzled to almost nothing. i love mio. i love writing mio. mio will always be one of my favourite ocs. but i left the old blog bc logging into it made me miserable. the new blog makes me feel the EXACT same, if not WORSE. i wish i could have the same passion i used to but, as much as i love mio, i can’t bring myself to keep trying if i’m just going to keep falling flat on my face. i don’t know how to express it in a way that doesn’t sound like i’m pointing fingers or placing blame anywhere but on myself because i’m upset and a little bitter but i guess i’m just upset that a muse that i’ve put work into for two and a half years feels like such a lost card.

i don’t want to put mio on my multi again but i genuinely don’t know what to do that’d get people interested in her again. i guess i’m...really asking? what would make people interested? i don’t know how to catch anybody’s interest because people don’t look beyond face value? i feel like mio’s been stereotyped according to her aesthetics and i’ve never gotten to show mio at her full depth. i don’t know what to do anymore. i’m just leaving this blog on a semi-hiatus until i know what to do, until i’m able to face this blog with confidence. i’ll pop in to write whenever i personally feel like writing mio but, beyond that, i don’t know if there’s much point in hanging around on a blog that makes me feel like shit. anyway, i made this too long again so i’m probably just talking into the void but asdfghgfdsdf thank you, again, for being interested at any point. i just feel at a loss?

i know i’ve said something to this effect before (either on mio’s old blog or on twitter or something, i forget) but i still love how central the colour pink has become for mio because, honestly, that wasn’t even my original intention. to start off, it had purely been an off-the-cuff decision for a theme and because i thought the colour pink complicated her then-fc’s hair colour, as well as to help provide that all important contrast between her and her sister (who, if her mun doesn’t mind me saying so, is big goth gf vibes i love rei)...like, it WAS very deliberate because all my early graphics and aesthetics for mio were suuuuper pink bc tbh i was compensating for the fact that i’d been doing a lot of monochromatic and blue-toned stuff before that (esp bc kael was pretty much my only other consistent muse back then) but i’m not sure i expected it to become SO central to mio or for me to keep pushing it this long (though, to be fair, i’m not sure i expected mio to last this long). 

mio’s pinboard has the most pins of any of the boards on my p.interest, 200+ than kael’s board despite my bias for kael being less than subtle, and my aesthetics sideboard for mio is a good thing to focus on when i need to relax...honestly, you’d have to pry my aesthetics for mio from my cold, dead hands. i’m not actually a writer who puts aesthetics > the rest in any respect (even though i’m sure people have thought otherwise in the past because of the fact i like making themes) and my writing is more straightforward and literal but mio really is Pink Personified!
