Dreaming of Freedom

Fight. Fight until you can’t feel your arms anymore, until your heart beats fast and your knees are too weak to move. Fight for your soul, for your mind, for everything that makes you feel alive. Fight until your death and after that. Fight for your lover. Fight for both of you. If not you, then who? You are strong and you can handle this. Feed your heart with hope and keep going. Time never stops for someone or makes things change. So be the change you want to see. Fill your gaps with love and be strong. See happiness beneath pain and tears. See hope beneath every barrier you have in front of you. Make you better for him to be better. Hold his hand and override everything. You are two and you are STRONG AND IN LOVE. Two people fighting is better than one.

I miss you.And that doesn’t make me weak because I am strong enough to realize I have lost a good thing. People are so caught up in being strong that they forget; Grieving is beautiful because it means you have loved someone enough that the pain of losing them hurts so much. I love you.And that doesn’t make me dumb because nothing about love makes sense and that’s the way it should be. It should be crazy and powerful and amazing and we shouldn’t apologize for wanting to be with someone for as long as we can. We shouldn’t apologize for being human.You hurt me.And that doesn’t make me fragile because it takes courage to completely give yourself to someone and I did and god, it was amazing. I have loved and lost.And that’s a good thing. It’s a good thing because life isn’t about staying in your warm cocoon of safety. Life is about adventures and epic loves and 2ams looking at the stars, quiet sunsets and raging parties and getting drunk under the moonlight and swimming naked under the magical sky. Life is about living. I’m glad I lived a part of my life with you. And that’s not a sad thing.

For you, I was a chapter. For me, you were the book.

You don’t realize how alone you are until you’re staying up every night thinking about things you should never think of and you can’t tell anybody because you have nobody to tell.
