In summing up the last post in which I posted..

I had 30 year old men on my ass because they were butthurt that I said otherkin phantom limbs are bullshit.

So is species dysphoria. Alot of people have been talking up a storm about it and honestly I dont understand that when trans people can be going through life changing surgeries to be who they wanna be and these fuckers are getting horns in theyre heads and shit.

Its sad to see that the world we’ve come to is enslaved by the idea that you believe your an animal.

Listen hun, I’m otherkin and transgender. I’ve been on HRT for three years. Not only have I spent plenty of time with a therapist, but I’m a retired human rights activist and I used to teach psychology graduate students about gender identity in a panel at the local university. My social circle includes several LMHCs (licensed mental health counselors), LCSWs (licensed clinical social workers), and a psych professor with a PhD. I myself am an ordained minister and pastoral counselor, and I’ve spent years counseling trans people and otherkin as a supplement to traditional therapy. I’m quite familiar with how the mental health profession understands identity and dysphoria. Species dysphoria is a legitimate clinical diagnosis, which more than a few of my followers have been given. By the way, supernumenary phantom limbs are also a recognized phenomena in the psychiatric field. You do not own dysphoria just because gender dysphoria is a buzzword right now. It has many causes, and trying to delegitimize someone else’s identity and experience just because you are ignorant makes you no better than the people who do the same thing to trans people.
