The series here still ran for about 4 years! ( 1997 - 2001 ) , but more subjected to controversy and therefore resulted in changes here n there in the game. Though the restoration team here restores the game in its full original form and any changes during the runtime or controversies are talked about separately.
While all the neighbors here have middle names, the main gag is Barnaby is still the one who doesn’t have an actual name attached to his / his middle name very well could just be B.
( ^ ) The middle names of the neighbors in question also relate to their roles, interests, or characteristics. Or are a simple pun.
Keeping the implication of the neighbors being more “human” here, they do follow the “aware of being in a game” trope. Though the difference being they are much more dedicated to catering to their roles and more likely to spiral when they can’t fulfill them.
While already obvious, the Swaps in question here do not swap any major aspects of the neighbors themselves and are more role focused. Though this is how I do any swap AU by default.
