This extends beyond rudeness. One of the greatest revelation of my life was realizing how actively evil people BELIEVE everyone else is just like them and faking compassion, respect, etc, out of social requirement. That’s why you have so many claims like “Trump’s just saying what everyone’s thinking”, because they believe everyone else is thinking the same disgusting racist bullshit as them and we’re just lying about feeling compassion for other human beings.
