BOOM!

Another Skylanders OC revamped. Barghast was a professional chef with his own restaurant- at the price of leaving the family business of undead villainy. His father, not very happy about his decision, cursed him so that everything he touched would wither and rot- ruining his career and his reputation.

Kaossandra, fancying a new castle chef, took advantage of his cruel luck and offered him a solution to his problems- as long as he cooked and did the bidding of the family as a personal attack dog, he would have a special, finely-crafted pair of silver gloves that protected the world from his destructive touch. Whilst not very happy with the evil nature of his employers, the arrangement allows him to still pursue his passions- so he can't complain.

Mixed bag, I really enjoy Spyro's Adventure and Giants for nostalgia and the general atmosphere the games had (I remember being maybe 12 and discovering the game because my younger sibling's best friend had it) But I'm fond of Swap Force and SuperChargers specifically because of their artstyle and color usage (some of the best concept art came from these two imo). I think when I was younger Swap Force was my favorite just because of the amount of Flynn that was in it LOL.

They fucked his shit up so bad 😭 Slimmed him down, messed with his face shape, which iirc I was even more mad about because they had him in a role that I'd always wanted to see him in, which was actually acknowledged/acting as academy staff in a sense (Albeit their very questionable equivalent of a field trip bus driver)

Ofc a lot of it was wishful thinking but I always wanted to see him as an actual (though probably not really academically credible) teacher for extracurriculars like mechanics or piloting. He's a big ham but all things considered he still was very capable of flying vehicles.

Second, what are your thoughts on the other npcs? (like Cali, Hugo and Buzz)

oh man I LOVE CALI!!!! She is like. The coolest big sister figure ever to me in my mind. Literally for what she put up with she deserves a vacation i swear. Also wish they did a little more with her on her own as a character (in comparison to like, how her relations are with everyone else) bc I feel she's a little neglected in the franchise. She wasn't even IN Academy which was like. ????? whywould you sideline a character that was so important to the beginning of the series.

Always had a soft spot for Hugo because he's a dork but iirc(? haven't played/watched a playthrough in a while but I'm pretty sure) I'm glad they actually built on his character instead of keeping him to the flat 'scaredy cat bookworm' trope- he's still like that but there's more to him than that and I am so grateful <3

OHH I've been around! I've been in the fanbase since like... 2011? I think was when the very first game released? And had been putting out fanart sporadically since the beginning so I've seen Everything(tm) but it seemed like activity was finally really dying down with the death of the mobile game (haven't had anyone interact with this blog or my art in a good WHILE) so I went to lurking and stopped doing gifsets bc i was like..... what is the point LOL
