I'm talking grid based movement and sharp turns in them dank ass dark evil hallways. Getting jumped by enemy compositions you don't have a real plan for leaving your tweaking over your dwindling resources, so you have to bolt to the exit and pray you don't get jumped at your lowest because you don't have any teleport items. Yeah... i just haven't gotten enough of that experience.

I'm a little ashamed to inform everyone that my initial experience with this kind of dungeon crawler was persona q2. Didn't finish the final boss because I didn't want to grind a billion characters to a certain point to experiment. I may finish it one day. Maybe.

I do yearn for the old smts and etrian odysseys (though etrian is a bit intimidating. I'm used to having set characters instead of puppets i crafted to enact my dark magics. To me it's the difference between ikea furniture and heading to home depot to get the materials and tools to build shit yourself.)
