( text .: noah âşď¸ ): so ⌠melted ice cream? ( text .: noah âşď¸ ): alright, iâll be there in a moment!
After changing into a new dress, Nerissa was quick to finish getting ready, leaving her room in a couple of minutes. When she caught sight of Noah outside, the redhead walked a bit faster so as to surprise him with a kiss to the manâs cheek, standing on her tiptoes so as to reach his face. â Hi there. â She greeted with a smile. â Hope I didnât make you wait too long ⌠â
Noah chuckled at her text about milkshakes being melted ice cream, putting his phone in his pocket and waiting for her. He paced outside the front entrance of the palace, smiling when he felt a kiss on his cheek. He turned to her, glad that it hadnât taken very long. âHi, I wasnât waiting long.â He took her hand and pulled her closer, kissing her lips quickly. âAlso milkshakes arenât melted ice cream.â

( text .: noah âşď¸ ): milkshakes? no, i donât suppose i have. what do they taste like? ( text .: noah âşď¸ ): oh! i do love dogs, and i miss max. maybe looking at puppies will help with that ⌠should i meet you outside?
[ text || nerissa đ ] :: theyâre sweet, kind of like ice cream but you can drink it [ text || nerissa đ ] :: good! i figured you would want to come. yes, just meet me outside when youâre ready.
[ text || nerissa đ ] :: i was thinking we could go get milkshakes. have you ever had those before? theyâre great [ text || nerissa đ ] :: and we could go look at puppies

â I sure hope so; the last thing I want is for you to show up one day with some sort of injury caused by a swan, or any animal really. Please, of course I will worry about you. Even if I have no reason to. â The redhead affirmed nonchalantly, eyes rolling as if the thought of herself not worrying about Noah was simply impossible. She didnât mind worrying about him; if anything, Nerissa found it strange that she found herself worrying about someone other than family and her own self. Strange but exciting. â If you ever get yourself hurt, we may not be able to spend time together, or at least not until you are fully healed. That is something to keep in mind. â She told him with a playful smirk that turned into laughter as he tugged on her hand, stopping in her tracks. â You think so? Is that what your intuition is telling you? â She asked teasingly. â Hmm ⌠I canât think of a reason for you not to. â
Noah gave her a smile and nodded. âOkay, then I wouldnât want you to worry. You wonât have any reason to because Iâm going to be fine. But since youâre adamant on worrying, then I guess Iâll just have to be okay with that.â He didnât mind, really. He thought it was really sweet how concerned she was, even if it was a little ridiculous. Besides, he liked that he mattered so much to her. âThatâs a good point. And I do like spending time you to.â And he didnât like the idea of not being able to spend time with her. He grinned when she stopped walking and he turned her towards him. He nodded, chuckling to himself. âI have to listen to my intuition, right?â He pulled her closer and kissed her, glad to be the one to make the move.

âThatâs definitely a good thing.â Not that Toby was doing anything particularly embarrassing, but he just didnât like the idea of some guy he didnât know just walking into his room. âDo you want to come in or?â
When he asked if he wanted to come in, he nodded. âSure. I actually came over to meet you. Iâm not even sure if your sister has mentioned me before, so might as well start with that.â
@malchxnce
Toby opened his door and eyed the blond in front of him. âThatâs me. Iâm guessing youâre Noah.â
Noah smiled, nodding his head. âI figured your room would be close to your sisterâs. Good thing I didnât just walk into you room.â
nerissatritonâ
â Youâre not? Well then, what were you like as a child? I bet you could do no wrong, except for get yourself into trouble with animals it seems. â The redhead teased with a laugh, using her free hand to brush her hair behind her ear. â Regardless of whether or not it is still alive, donât go looking for trouble â I would not want you to get hurt, even if the idea of a bitter swan holding grudge against you sounds rather funny. Between subtlety and assertiveness, I much prefer the latter ⌠Oh, so it is my fault that you simply must be as close to me as possible? Very well, for your own comfort, I shall never kiss you again! â She teased with a smirk, letting out a small chuckle. â Wouldnât want you getting too addicted to my kisses, would we? â
Noah chuckled, running his hand through his wet hair. âI guess you could say that. I really only got into trouble with the swans. I think I learned my lesson after that,â he replied and flashed a smile. When she told him not to go looking for any trouble he nodded. âDonât worry about me. Iâm not planning on getting myself into any swan or animal related trouble anytime soon.â He raised his brows when she told him that she wouldnât kiss him again. âWhat? I donât think thatâs the best resolution.â He grinned. âI think, perhaps, getting addicted to your kisses is not such a bad thing.â He stopped, tugging on her hand to stop with him. âAnd if you wonât kiss me then Iâll have to kiss you.â
nerissatritonâ
â That I have to agree with, except I was a wonderful child. A little blunt, but who can blame me for being so sure of the things I want even as a child? â Still, even though she had always strived to be the perfect daughter, her parentsâ pride and joy, it didnât seem to be enough. â I wonder if the swan who chased after you would recognize you, assuming it is still alive ⌠Perhaps they hold grudge, though that is not much of a good thing. Holding grudge gives you wrinkles. â She informed, though it was somewhat hypocritical of Nerissa to speak on the matter when she was a victim herself. When she noticed him catching up to her, a small laugh escaped her lips, finding it somewhat funny. â Oh, you are? And I did, mister. You are not very good at being subtle, are you? â She joked with a laugh, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. â I like it though, the assertiveness. â
âIâm not surprised by any of that at all,â Noah replied with a laugh. He could see Nerissa as being a good child, but definitely one that spoke her mind a lot as well. âAssuming itâs still alive, then maybe. You never really know, right?â He wasnât sure if birds could really remember people like that, but it would be pretty funny if there was a swan out there that still had a vendetta against him. âNo, subtlety is not a strength of mine unfortunately.â He smiled when he felt her give his hand a squeeze. âAssertiveness, however, is one of my better qualities. Though, can you really blame me for not giving up the chance to get closer to you? You probably shouldnât have kissed me, because now Iâm hooked.â
nerissatritonâ
â You were throwing rocks in the lake? Gee, no wonder they were upset, you were disturbing their peace! Shame on you, sir. â She scolded with a false look of disapproval, which soon turned into a smile and a laugh. â Climbing a tree and waiting for it to leave sounds like a good plan. Iâm glad you didnât get hurt, but I also think they were more scared than angry â swans donât attack unless given a reason too, perhaps they felt threatened somehow. â Smirking when he mentioned how they should probably spend more time alone together, Nerissa nodded in agreement, finding that she did want that quite a bit. A part of her wondered if he had any intentions of kissing her again, but the redhead chose not to ask; maybe it would put him on the spot, and she didnât want to make him feel uncomfortable. Slipping on her dress, she twisted the soaked wet shirt so as to let some of that water out and gently tapped his back when finished, a small smirk on her lips. â Thatâs too bad, I was gonna say we should stay close to avoid the cold, but since you donât need it ⌠â The redhead teased with a shrug, then started to walk.
âNot one of my proudest moments, but I was a kid. Kids do weird things sometimes.â Noah wasnât really a bad kid or anything, but he did manage to get himself into trouble at times. âThey probably did feel threatened. Maybe they thought I was going to start throwing the rocks at them.â He hadnât really meant to do that, but it was a possibility. Once he had gotten his pants back on, he felt her tap his back and he turned around. âWait, what? Maybe I am a little cold,â he said, catching up with her and taking her hand. âOr maybe I just want to stay close to you. Who said it needed to be cold to do that?â He asked teasingly.

With a confident smirk, she offered her hand for him to shake. â Definitely. In fact, I do quite like a good challenge. â Mostly because she enjoyed winning, but Nerissa knew this was only a playful competition that would probably end nowhere, and she didnât mind. If anything, the fact that Noah could be competitive was somewhat exciting to her. As he talked about his experience with swans, her eyes widened. â Oh my God, did it hurt you? Why was it chasing you, did you do something? ⌠Noah, did you tease that poor, innocent swan? â She inquired with a playful pout on her lips, though it was also obvious that Nerissa was genuinely concerned about whether or not heâd gotten hurt back then. The idea didnât sit well with her. When he admitted to wanting to be alone with her, she smiled gently, shaking her head from side to side. â No, not at all. I like being alone with you too. â Not only because he made her feel special, but also because she simply enjoyed being around him. Carefully placing her feet on the sand, she took her dress in hands and patted it down to get rid of the sand. â Turn around, silly, I need to change. Also ⌠Are you cold? â She asked, actually worried that he might be freezing now that the breeze was a bit colder.
Noah shook her hand, finding it amusing that they would challenge each other on this. âGood to know.â He liked the fact that they could be playful like this with one another. It was really nice, and he hadnât really expected that to come from their friendship or relationship or whatever it was. âNo, it didnât hurt me. I was fine. I donât think they liked so much that I was throwing rocks in the water. I ended up climbing up a tree and waiting for it to leave.â He had learned after that to be a bit more respectful around the swans, but he did think it was pretty funny now. When she admitted to enjoying being alone with him too, he smiled. âI guess that means weâll have to spend more time alone together.â That was definitely something he couldnât complain about. Especially now that he had gotten to kiss her, he found that he wanted more chances to kiss her. When she told him to turn around, he smiled at her and did so, turning his back to her. âIâm not cold. Though, I should probably put my pants back on.â He found his pants, picking them up and shaking the sand from them before putting them back on.
nerissatritonâ
â Is that a challenge? Because if so, I accept it. â Nerissa stated with a confident smile, though she knew for a fact that Noah was right. If anything, she was happy to know that he didnât mind her interests, and was eager to learn more about them. Growing up, it wasnât often that she had people to talk about the things she liked â partially because of how much they differed from the rest of her familyâs tastes, and thankfully that feeling was gone now. At his teasing, the princess laughed while nodding her head. â Yes I am, though I suppose it wonât be of much trouble for you, right? Or are you not skilled enough to be capable of reasoning with swans? â She teased back, hands moving to her waist as if she was challenging him. â That sounds like a good idea ⌠Or perhaps you just want an excuse to be alone with me. Am I wrong? â Letting him pick her up, Nerissa wrapped her arms around his neck for support, nodding her head in response. As the water left her tail, she noticed it rapidly change back into legs, and promptly began to swing them lightly. â Now that was fast ⌠I quite like this way of transportation though, do you mind carrying me to my dress? â
âItâs definitely a challenge. Are you sure you want to accept?â Noah asked teasingly, trying to intimidate her, but he knew it wouldnât work. Besides, he liked a bit of healthy competition. When she asked if he was not capable of reasoning with swans, he raised his brows. âWell, letâs just say that when I was little I was chased around by a swan. I donât think Iâm a favorite among their kind. Or maybe they just thought it would be funny to watch me run around.â He chuckled when she called him out for wanting an excuse to be alone with her. He shrugged his shoulders, trying to look innocent. âI mean, maybe. Is that such a bad thing? I quite like getting to be alone with you.â He liked being in Nerissaâs company and getting to have her all to himself, and he certainly wouldnât deny liking it. He noticed her legs come back as he carried her out of the water, finding it intriguing. âI donât mind that at all.â He carried her over to her dress, setting her down on her feet and making sure she was steady.
nerissatritonâ
â You say that now, but letâs see how long it will take for me to make your ears fall off. â She laughed, though deep down Nerissa was pretty sure that Noah wouldnât tire of her so easily. He hadnât until now, and that had to count for something. The redhead did blush when he called her beautiful, then gave him a look. â Please, if that is the case, then I will just find a different way to befriend then. However, I will certainly let them know you think I am more beautiful than them. Letâs see how they feel about that. â She joked with a laugh, picturing what an offended swan would look like. â What are the odds of me hurting someone while learning archery? I really have no interest in sending other people to the infirmary. â Reaching for his hand, she swam up towards the surface. â You might have to give me a hand ⌠You know, just so I can get on the sand more easily. â
âI think my ears are a little stronger than that,â Noah replied with a smile. He didnât think that it would be so bad listening to her talk about the things she enjoyed and loved. He was always a nice guy, but even he had never really felt that way about someone else. There was just something about Nerissa that had him so enamored. He probably would have jumped off a cliff for her if she really asked him to. âOh great, now youâre going to pit the swans against me,â he teased, laughing with her. âWell, Iâll make sure there isnât anyone around. And hopefully Iâll be behind you, so I donât think Iâll be getting hurt.â If she didnât have good aim and there were people around, he knew she might hurt someone. They got up to surface and he took a breath of the air, feeling a bit more normal. âFine by me.â He took her hand, swimming with her towards the shore. Once he got close enough to stand, he took her in his arms, carrying her. âIs this alright?â
nerissatritonâ
â That might take quite some time, Iâm interested in a lot of things. Itâs why I make for such a good conversation maker. â She told him with a bright, confident smile, proud of herself for her own knowledge. With his comment on the swans, Nerissa laughed and rolled her eyes. â Vicious? Please, I am sure they only attack those who threaten them. But I do appreciate your enthusiasm to protect me from the swans. What a hero. â The redhead teased. â Good aim? Not too sure that is one of my talents, though practice makes perfect. â Lifting her gaze up to the surface as she noticed how it seemed to be getting darker underwater, Nerissa tilted her head to the side. â We should probably go back. Itâs getting dark and, well, who knows how much longer you will be able to breathe for. â
âWell, Iâm willing to listen,â Noah replied with a smile, knowing that he wouldnât mind listening to her talk about the things she was interested in. He knew that she would do the same for him, or at least he assumed she would. âMaybe they will feel threatened by how beautiful you are. Iâm sure swans get jealous,â he replied with a chuckle. He liked hearing her call him a hero even if she was teasing him. âExactly. Besides, Iâm going to teach you archery and your aim will get better.â He looked up to the surface with her before looking back in her direction. âI think youâre right. Letâs go.â
nerissatritonâ
A small smile grew on her lips. â I like it when you say you want to learn about the things I know. Itâs a good feeling. â She knew there was only so many subjects and topics he wasnât familiar with, so to have something she could teach him and that he found interesting was definitely exciting. When Noah confirmed her expectations, her smile grew wider. â Really? Well, if I ever have the chance to visit your home, Iâll definitely want to see those. They might receive more attention than you, but please donât take it personally. â Nerissa joked with a laugh, knowing that wouldnât happen. Folding both arms over her chest, she shook her head. â Sunny days are better, but I guess weâll just have to agree to disagree. You throw snowballs at each other? Do those not hurt at all? I cannot say it doesnât sound interesting ⌠Though I donât know how good I would be at that. â
Noah hadnât expected her to say anything about his willingness to learn, but perhaps it really was surprising to her that he was interested. Maybe others hadnât. âWell, itâs not really something I was ever taught. Besides, Iâm want to learn about what youâre interested in.â He smiled at her, glad that she appreciated it. âThatâs all right. I wonât take it personally. Iâll just be there in case any of the swans get upset and try to attack. Theyâre pretty vicious,â he replied with a laugh, teasing her. âYeah, weâre definitely going to agree to disagree. Iâm sure youâd be great at a snowball fight as long as you have good aim.â

â I think it has something to do with corals being dangerous for certain fish ⌠Oh? Well, then you are definitely missing on something â I have heard starfish are notorious suck-ups. Not the big ones though; those are just boring. â Nerissa rolled her eyes at the last few words, as if dismissing the second type of starfish. â However, â pausing, she moved away from the corals and swam closer to him. â That also means I have more things to teach and show you. Oh, are there swans in any of the lakes? â She questioned with a hint of excitement. â How bad? I see no problem in enjoying a nice, sunny day! A snowball fight? No ⌠What are those like? â
âI didnât know that.â Noah wasnât normally used to not knowing things. He had always been a good student and learned things quite easily, but he hadnât ever been taught about the ocean. âThatâs true, and I want to learn about it.â He figured he was lucky to have someone like Nerissa who seemed to know a lot about the ocean and fish. âYes, there are quite a few swans in those lakes. Theyâre really beautiful.â He knew how much she loved swans, and he figured she would like to visit those lakes someday. âSunny days are fun, but snow days are better. Theyâre a lot of fun, and they can get pretty competitive. You just make teams and people throw snowballs at each other.â
nerissatritonâ
â Oh trust me, I am sure they can be. Besides, not all fish can live in corals â or at least so Iâve been told. I do know, however, that some starfish do. Are you familiar with those? â The redhead inquired, keeping her eyes on the reef for a couple of seconds before turning her gaze to him. â Do you have a lot of lakes there? I canât say I am too familiar with those; after all, thereâs no reason to look for lakes in Monaco, especially when living so close to the sea. I wonder just how much colder your home is ⌠Personally Iâve only seen snow a few times, which I would not say itâs a bad thing. â
âReally? I didnât know that... And no, Iâm not familiar with them.â There seemed to be a lot of things he didnât know about the ocean, and he realized that there would be a lot to learn. He hadnât thought the ocean was so complicated. âYeah, I mean... There are a lot of them.â It made sense to him that she wouldnât have considered lakes with all of the ocean to think about. âI would say thatâs a pretty bad thing. The snow is a lot of fun. Have you ever had a snowball fight?â
