jean as far as we know has never had a consensual experience and is far too traumatized to consider sex a casual matter. but we've seen his hunger and it's not a question of whether he wants to do it, it's just a matter of him actively making the choice and feeling safe with someone he can trust and who will take care of him. it would make sense for him to have some sort of crash out after, and we can all trust jeremy to take care of him though it, but ultimately it's all about him taking agency over something that was so brutally out of his control for so long.

jeremy on the other hand. man. we all know everyone he's slept with was trash and never treated him with any semblance of respect. he has to know that he matters. that having sex with him isn't just a way to get off. that he's not going to be ditched the second the other person decides he's done with him. he's gonna have some insecurities about that, and we know jean will not hesitate to reassure him with his wonderful blatant honesty. jeremy has to relearn sex with the boy who's been obsessed with him because of who he is long before he touched his body, and who will get more and more obsessed with him one experience at a time.
