I have this one thought for this ship I’ve come across:
Danny gets flirted with by Randy and while he’s clueless that he’s being flirted with, he has a tiny crush on Randy without noticing because he’s use to crushing on strong women and it didn’t register that it could apply to men. Strong women and competent men :3 well they are still teens so boys and girls :3
Randy tries his luck as the Ninja and it sort of works, Danny admires the ninja and makes passing comments without thinking, just leaning on the door of a locker while his friends are shaking their heads at him.
They’re not trying to discourage him, it’s just not realistic that the local legend is allowed to date anyone they are trying to protect and besides they aren’t staying in this school for long- just until the repairs and renovations are finished (they have half the school year).
He clueless waves them off and tells them it’s not like that- he just admires him!
They work under the logic that the ninja is their age because he is always protecting the school like Danny. When someone (Howard) asks why they are sure, they tell them their local ghost hero is their age and responds to threats over there the fastest.
“Ghost hero?”
“Yep! Dead kid gets to spend the rest of their afterlife with a full time job, pretty unfair but what can you do? Adults are stupid!”
“Not all adults Sam.”
“You’re right Tuck, your parents and my grandma are pretty great.”
“Hey! Isn’t Jazz going to technically be an adult soon?”
“Danny, she’s like 16. She has two more years before that happens.”
“Guys, I’m pretty sure the ninja is alive.”
“Dude, if he wasn’t a kid then it’s creepy how fast he shows up compared to anywhere else.”
“Besides, you see the way he acts around Danny?”
“Yeah… you got me there. He has to be a kid or else.”
“Danny’s parents would kill the ninja if Jazz doesn’t skin him first. She’s got that enhanced strength”
“It’s not enhanced strength! She just works out.”
“She only started working like last week and it’s not even weightlifting.”

Danny and Randy becoming friends because he showed up to help him after this one rescue where he asks about how he feels about the ninja.
Danny’s words hold weight (not that Randy knows) and is insightful about the responsibilities the ninja carrying and stuff and Randy just melt a little listening to him talk.
I don’t know how this happens but I really want them to hold hands at some point. Randy as the ninja and Danny as himself- Randy tries to cover him up because he’s so cold and gets a little close and maybe they end up hugging?
Jazz is not Jazzed and actively tries to separate Danny from who she perceives as a hooligan taking advantage of Danny’s admiration (she’s over thinking and stressed because she’s literally taking care of him while their parents are somewhere else not even across a different town).
Despite being in the same town, Jack and Maddie are stuck in the lab of the company they signed a contract for and calls as much as they can while working. They trust Jazz.
The Ninja getting a moment with Danny by themselves and Randy takes the opportunity to talk to him about his hometown. Danny sheepishly talks about Ghosts with encouragement by Randy casually talking about Japanese lore- Yokai and spirits.
Then Randy struggles to keep his identity because he forgets what he knows as who, because somethings Randy doesn’t know or almost forgets what he told Danny as The Ninja.
How does Danny become not clueless? You’re asking the wrong question, what makes you think he doesn’t figure Randy is the ninja all on his own and never say anything- oh. You meant romantically. Uh… yeah no it goes on into the summer of next year where Danny unintentionally leads him on by doing something you only do with your homies cuddling :3
Sam mocks them by teasing Tucker that his cuddle buddy is being stolen and he just rolls his eyes and tells her that he is more than happy to trade partners- his girlfriend is the only one he needs. (I have two OCs, one girlfriend for Sam and one girlfriend for Tucker)
They aren’t fleshed out though just some backstory.
Danny tries to defend himself and Randy by saying Randy is warmer and nicer to hug anyway.
Sam, who is one of his exes, squints at Danny. He doesn’t notice the expression because he’s busy talking to Randy, who does notice the look.
Randy gets nervous not just for Danny but himself- what does that look mean?
Randy finally meeting Phantom flips the script a bit. Phantom is flirting heavily with Randy- not as bad Ninja with Danny but Randy gets so confused until his thoughts cross together. The image of Phantom smiling is the same as Danny’s and he realizes they are the same person- chaos as he realizes Danny is like him before the ‘ghost’ part registered.
Randy bemoans how the pretty ones die young and Howard tells him that Danny looks very alive to him.
Randy believes in Danny and trusts that he meant it when he said ghost hero and dead kid.
I don’t know how any of this work- I just want a cute kiss on the cheek as a thank you :3 as Randy faints from exhaustion and over stimulation.

I actually fell asleep before I could finish this so I don’t remember where I was going with this.
At some point Danny thinks they’re on a date actually. It’s not and Randy is once again stun-locked by the end because they had ‘date???’ And it was ‘successful???’ And he just wants to scream.
Next day casually goes for the hand holding. Like they haven’t been doing that for a while now.
What could possibly mess this up? Vlad. He doesn’t like seeing Danny happy obviously and teams up with the what was the villains name again? Warlock? Wizard? Enchanter? Idk and is tormented by the fact the nasty evil jerk he’s conspiring with has a GIRLFRIEND he does evil with. They rub it in his face the whole time, not even trying just tells him ‘try harder’.
lol everyone flexes on lonely Vlad- it would be 100% worse if the Fenton’s parents show up just being overly affectionate as to rub salt even further into the wound by the universe.
Also Sam calling them to help (unknowingly) for a plan. Tucker has a girlfriend, Sam has a girlfriend, Danny has a boyfriend and a girlfriend (I love Valerie!)
His ally’s have significant others. Even one of the vultures has a DATE!
Time to throw a tantrum!
