Some things about this post since getting quite a few notes:
1. If you see this post, highly recommend taking it as an opportunity to set a timer for 15 minutes and switch over to ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY. if after those 15 minutes, you want to go back to scrolling, that's okay!
2. Huge shout out to this popping up in my notifs often, bc I do go back to activity.
3. I think there are times where scrolling is fine. Right now, for example, I'm being connected to a machine for two hours to donate plasma and platelets. So, unlike Eridians, we discovered fire very early on and so our civilization kinda grew up with combustion right? We've had thousands of years to normalize it and get comfortable with the idea of using it casually for warmth or cooking etc.
In contrast, Eridians had to discover fire in a lab since their atmosphere doesnt have O2 like ours. So they dont have, like, an entire culture normalizing fire.

I know nothing about Star Fox, but I adore whatever it is they did to that cat character who used to look like the mascot of an icecream company and now looks like a sleep deprived war veteran who smokes a pack a day.
The original design outright sucks and I cannot believe the shift from saccharine disney furries to grungy taxidermy creatures is at all controversial.
new starfoxâs face is uncanny and unappealing to me in the same way that movie Sonicâs (yes Iâm capitalizing Sonicâs name and not starfox, my respect lies where it lies) face did before Paramount panicked and had their 3D artists in their inhumane lightless enclosure give him a new one, but Iâm absolutely living for whatâs happened to this cat. The glorious opposite of a traditional glow-up. A grunge-up. Sheâs discovered herself out in the limitless vastness of outer space and thrown out all of her beauty products that she never liked anyway, and she is feral and she is free. I hope she gets to kill people with the laser guns on her spaceship (starfox has those, right?) and also however and with whatever she wants.
